First of all don't get me wrong here.I'm going to join the courses for improving and expanding my fundamental knowledge and not for certificates.

So,I'm going to enroll myself to some music and computer courses from these awesome education websites-Coursera and edX.

So the question,do they really standout in the resume?
I truly believe that their courses are full of knowledge but that knowledge under the tag of Coursera is recognized by companies?
OR do they not?

What do you mean by recognized by others?
If you don't do the certificate what others think doesn't matter!?

if you want to learn then go for it, these mini courses are not too bad, pretty basic (6-8 week courses, 3-4 hours a week), so do em and stick em on your CV, it certainly won't hurt
