Hi, I'm almost ashamed to ask this..
(a question about a Kylie song, but since a respected user already mentioned Kylie in a positive way, I go ahead ;-)

I wonder how the beginning is done.
    Especially from 10sec-17sec:

I'm not much into sound creating/design, but I give a shot..
Sounds: I hear a choir (women) and a pad (strings?).
Effects: Reverb. But for the main effect from 10sec: Is something played backwards? Is it pumping? Sidechained?

    Thanks for any hint :)

Sounds like a choir kontakt library with a bit of a hpf on it with sidechain. Possibly sampled and played backwards with a low volume lead synth for reinforcement. That sound could be replicated in multiple ways, this was just one solution :D

Yes Sir, you're right about Fernando Garibay. And thanks for the hint! I will try to ask him out for a beer,
but since Kylie was in town a week ago.. I should have rather asked her out..;-)

And hey, I can't stop laughing about the 'Kylie' emoticon - you made my day!

Sounds like a string/choir sample either reversed or slow attack with a long release could do.
