Working with Lead/Melody

    Hey Producers,
    I Wanna know that how to make lead sound or melody sits on top just like vocal...i mean which plugin have to use ?

    plugins wise generally eq, reverb, delay(?)

    a very good one to learn how to mix is (although it's an oldie it is still relevant today)

    You can't go more generic than that... Even a simple gain could do it. :dunno:

    It's a great "old" tutorial video by Dave Gibson... disturbing thing is Thomas Dolby song, it's repeating over and over :)

    Short answer: Any plugin that you like/use/know.

    Longer answer: Carve out some 500-ish Hertz or so in the music mix, for the lead to sit in (just like you do with vocals, for them to sit well in a mix). Add (aux/FX send) a tad of delay and/or reverb to taste, and then compress and highpass these effects.
