    Hey guys!

    It's been a while since I posted on here but I've been busy working on my site and new courses. Anyway I'm gonna keep this short. Basically I'm giving my EDM Mastering course for free, and only for Audiosex. Because I love you guys so much and I know that mastering is a topic that gives a lot of you trouble. That's it, it's as simple as that! I'll have coupons available until November 30th.

    Get The EDM Mastering Course for free!

    I write "I'll give you a chance" because:

    1) I hope you are not another "Loudness War" crusader warrior
    2) I hope your vision of music could be a little bit near my "working with sound" vision (*)

    (*)...yes, not make better music because I'm not a musician.

    anyway, respect for you and everyone who shares his knowledge. :wink:

    Thanks brother, respect right back to you. Could you elaborate on your 'working with sound' vision?

    English is not my mother language (thank god google translate exists) so it is hard to explain what
    I mean, anyway, I can say i follow this "rules".

    - No music theory rules to follow (...my ears only; I am too lazy to learn music theory)
    - Dissonant sounds
    - Notes out of tune
    - Female voices only

    I know it sounds confused... sometimes it is not clear for me too, but it is funny. *yes*

    EDM Mastering? Isn't that just a sidechain pump and L2? ;) Just kidding. I'll check it out. Thanks for this.

    hey thanks a lot for that refresher course was very useful! recommend everyone to give it a watch ;). One part reminded me of something this old black producer friend of mine used to tell me all the time "don't change what you hear, try to make the sound in your head become a sound in the speaker" as you said have a goal don't just foolishly run around the eq. Only thing I would recommend to anyone who doesn't have any experience whatsoever might behoove you to turn on an l2 or something as you play with saturation. Anyway thanks again was very well put together.
    edit:
    just noticed you did have a limiter just didn't hear you say that you put one on. I was kind of hoping that your videos were in protools as I have been debating is it worth the hype and wanted to see someone navigate through PT as they master a track. I am only familiar with ableton and logic and all my friends use ableton or (god forbid) fl studio. I don't know why i threw in the "god forbid" but I for some reason have prejudice against fl studio lol.

    @Thanthrax

    Very interesting...I'll have to explore this more then

    @5t33z0
    I think you're refering to EDM Mixing there haha..but yeah pumping is part of the sound, can't run away from it

    @deftmonk

    It's never about the tools or software man, it's about how you use them. That's the whole point of this course. To show you that you can get results using just native plugins, regardless of which ones they are. I do it all the time even when I mix and master for other producers, it's 90% native plugins seriously. And the limiter is there to make sure you don't go overboard with your processing

    And guys please, leave comments and suggestions and ask questions if you have any, you can do all of that right on the course page.

    I agree with you to a point... there are definite benefits of using 3rd party stuff in some scenarios...Lots of producers I've worked with have complained about the non translusive element of certain stock plugins. More than a few big name producers have complained about the limiter in this way to me but swear by L2. (I myself haven't noticed this about ableton's limiter but I don't use it much) For me, I just care about one thing at this point which is work flow... make more shit faster lol I just wanted to see ya move around a daw I'm not familiar with to see if its something I would be interested in (I love ableton but I get quite fed up with it some times mixing and mastering large projects... I feel the UI is a bit crammed and even tho I use push I frequently do too much senseless clicking to hide or bring back things. Anyway, awesome video I am sure many here will appreciate the lesson!
