Fl Studio 12 is now in Beta Phase for all those who own Fl Studio. Will post changelog as soon as I find it. I know alot of gui changes were made. The gui is fully vectorized now. The mixer has a complete makeover as well. For now just check out the videos to get an overview of the changes.

What you can expect (so far):

Fully reworked scalable interface - Any screen size or resolution you use, FL Studio will always fit
Multi-touch – Multi-touch capability extends to the Mixer.
Browser – New category tabs and the ability to delete content on right-click
Channel Menu - The Channel Options Menu have moved from the Toolbar Menus to the Channel rack.
Channel settings - Have been integrated into the Plugin Wrapper (no more Channel settings pop-up).
Pattern Menu - The Pattern Menu has moved from the Channel rack to the Toolbar Menu and Pattern Selector.

Playlist - Multiple drag and drop for audio files onto Playlist (from a Windows file browser).
Stepsequencer - Step sequences are now interchangeable with Piano rolls.
VST Plugins - VST plugin installation & discovery improved and simplified.
Fruity Formula Controller - Updated, new UI.
Fruity Envelope Controller - Updated, 8 Articulators, Mod X/Y env, Smart Knobs, New UI.
Fruity Keyboard Controller - Attack smoothing, new UI.

Yes, however once you save in version 12 you cannot open the project in version 11 Also noticed this beta is also working in full version with previous v11 r2r release *yes*

fyi, Patcher is not really working at this moment IL just begin to working on it, it gonna fully replace the deprecated Layers feature which is hidden now (fruity section) and gonna get many new features

i loved the new beta, liked allot if things and didn't like some others, for example there is no more Stereo separation :/ i have to use maximus anytime i need to do it, Mixer is more complex and it is not easy to read.

there is few other stuff but i don't remember atm.


so far, good job Image-Line!

just reg there and your good to go.

only thing i cant find is the timeing 3/4 5/4 ect for each pattern
but i can work aroud that,

the gate ,shift and swing are great
and i even see a mono there this thing is so so cool,

if you know how you can copy the settings from your reg fl 11 into 12
search paths and favorite dirs, it saves you a bit of time setting it up.
then drop your plugin databases from 11 in-to 12 as well,
there are also a few new vids on youtube about the mixer.
remember save often

Looks really really good... Hoping for a native Mac version soon. Not a fan of boot camp and long-winded work arounds

Anyone having an issue selecting a folder to display in the browser that is on an external drive. I only get the option to add a folder from user name account, no external drives are listed and I can't manually add the folder by typing it in?


Nevermind, you can in fact type in the path manually

 

i really like the interface.. but the mixer is a bit to full on at first glance, but there are some lovely touches on most other aspects of the interface. i will definitely be sticking with fl studio for the next version. kudos to the peeps at image line..

 

i found the timeing for each pattern 1/2 .1/3 .1/4 .1/6 its in the piano roll options frist tab / 7 down under snap

the seperation knob is there. it's at the bottom of the channel strip.

INSTALLER

This beta WILL expire on - March 1st 2015 and we commonly have gaps between beta versions.

The beta includes FL Studio 32 and 64 Bit -
You can install one or both using the installer options.
You see new 'FL Studio 11.5 (beta)' and 'FL Studio 11.5 (beta) (64bit)' icons.

The manual - is under HEAVY development BUT you should check it here before asking 'how to' questions.

The install location is - C:\Program Files (x86)\Image-Line\FL Studio 11.5 beta.

Running alongside older FL Studio installations - Yes you can,
it won't interfere with FL Studio 11 or earlier installs.
It does not share registry settings or files with previous FL Studio versions.

Install options - Pay attention to what you select. In particular the Plugin Database
