You need to understand that panning (as we know it from the mixer) is an effect. It's not natural and the pan knob is not really a very legit...
The EQs and compressors are high quality and have unique features. Using them a lot.. They also tend to have finicky GUIs with 2 by 2 pixel...
Not sure why PRO-C isn't catching that transient. But I'd shave it off with a clipper myself, or a limiter.
