Some really old and some new stuff:
Keyboards: Ensoniq Mirage (1984, the original metal black case), Ensoniq EPS (1986), Roland D-50, Korg Karma.
Rack Mounts: Yamaha TX-802 and TG-77, Roland SD-2500 Echo, Yamaha SPX-90 Reverb.
Native Instruments Audio Kontrol 1, Digidesign MBox 2 Pro, Rokit5 monitors and three computers running all sorts of Synth software and Pro Tools, Sonar and Reaper.
Originally I was a fairly accomplished guitar player but I jumped ship when synthesizers became more affordable. That time arrived with the Ensoniq Mirage and EPS, which I promptly used to convert synthesizer sounds to sampler sounds. On the Mirage with its dual 7-segment display this was an utter disaster and after 1 year of trying I gave up that futile exercise in self-flagellation. With just 2.2 seconds of sample time available across the entire keyboard one had to be more of a programmer (almost all parameters were hex codes) than a samplist.<br />

The EPS was a big success however allowing me to sell some of my sounds commercially while living in South Africa. In 1994 South Africa changed for the worse and we left, leaving most of my gear behind. we were itinerant for nearly 10 years finally ending up in the US and sadly I had missed an awful lot on the exploding audio scene including the first VSTs, Cakewalk's metamorphosis to Sonar and the launch of Reason... Anyway, I am now back to my old shenanigans, bewailing today's musicians who have "unlearned" how to program their own patches relying instead on hundreds of gigabytes of (mostly piss poor) sample data when in reality most of those big sounds can be programmed into a handful of synths and occupy less than 100 MB in their entirety if they gave themselves time to learn it. Doing so would save them (those who do NOT know about Audioz) a crapload of money. Reason's Thor is a primary example of a great synth with nearly endless possibilities. I hope that it will be put to good use. Sound Design. I love it !<br />

Oh and by the way... I am a gurrrl <img src='http://audiosex.pro/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bow.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <br />

Toodles ♥♥♥
Primarily sound design, not music although I am going to focus more on that now. For the time being, I try to emulate all analog & digital gear in patch form to avoid those huge sample library downloads. Only exceptions are vocal, acapellas. Current project: Absynth and D50 sounds with Reason's Thor.Interact
