$250 million dollar loss? maybe they could have saved that money by NOT making a fecking crap movie to start with, which they leaked (allegedly) into the WWW and even the so called pirates were advising NOT to download a total pile of poo and was not worth the bandwidth

To the hollywood money men who built the film industry using mafia money [IMG]

I didn't even bother trying to watch that crap as I can tell from the poster and cast that it's not worth it already. It's just too obvious. There goes their estimated 250 mil loss... How about making better films for a change? Then I would consider watching it in the cinema. I always watch good films at the cinema. I love going to the cinema with my wife when there is a good film to watch, but as things are now, we go to the cinema about 3-4 times a year [and have a dinner out at some nice place along the way]. That's about how many good films they make per year out of hundreds. And of those 3-4 we always find at least one or even two that we shouldn't actually have paid for to watch it. I used to go to the cinema 2-3 times *per month* in the 80s and 90s in comparison.

The catch is - they can make a lot of money on PR only as people rush to the cinema to watch the film and only then discover the film is crap. They should be able to give a refund to people that found the film bad, but that's the "catch"... nice trailer, famous cast, lots of PR, and you can't help yourself but want to go see it. When you pay for the ticket it's to late to back off. You're just another sucker and a great PR victim... How many times have you watched the trailer and thought "wooow, I have to see this film!"? That many? Me too...

Someone should just nuke that awful place called Hollywood. Better films come from Europe these days. Actually it has always been that way... Especially films from UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Denmark... and Kazakhstan, of course [just joking - the last one, if you exclude "Borat" that was kinda good!]

If you think Expendables 3 was a good movie boy I really need to start doing movie reviews here. The movie industry is posting record profits and it's just sickening how they want to take away what little happiness and such a wonderful resource for expanding people's horizons like film. That's why I boycott going to the movies or making a single purchase from these parasites. Same with the music industry except indie artists, boy do those dinosaurs need to fucking die. Need to starve the fuckers out. Their simple little anti-piracy law translates into tyranny, they want the US government to be controlled by a bunch of greedy fuckers that have gotten fat on the public's money for so long they've convinced themselves that's how it should be. Shelling out turds called movies and expect to get massive returns. Fuck these scumbags. There won't be anything left to save? Good I hope I get to watch you burn.

add gadzillion times thumbs down (even, perhaps, the middle finger gesture)... *yes*

all the best for all of us but pray do exclude being hollywooded...

later edit, post scriptum, all the best for all of us plus pray do include loads more such piero manzoni creations (no. 84, perhaps, for all movie heroes)...

Crowdfunding for movies goes mainstream ... , preorder the movie you want to see ... :bleh:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jLaf5qj8cs

These Expendables shit movies could be prohibited for violation of human rights, I wouldn`t call it movies anyway and the fucked up retards producing such degenerated mess really need to get bankrupt. I think they put it out themselfs to have that little extra media attention or whatever.

Btw, this one here is kind of a musical, interesting/unconventional soundtrack and story with depth. Of course, you`ll findt a HQ copy for free or just a stream ...

    hey,

they got paid with untold sums from invisible accounts for producing the genre, making it quite surely impossible to go bankrupt...

every fucking negative trait is sold to unaware movie goers, resulting in even more conditioning, desensitisation, at the end, dehumanisation (not to mention stupefied hero worship, instead of loads more useful, possibly future proof, role models)...

sorry for ranting off topic, all the best for all of us...

    Dear nadirtozenith,
you`re not ranting at all and I agree completely, all this immature crap is asking for treatment (medical). Like everything "under the sun" it`s good & bad at the same time, undeniably the money from the "movies" is making modern music production what it is, Sound Design, the development of Synth`s/electronic instruments, etc.
Another thing: Imagine to be responsible for for a 250$ mio budget ... the timing, the pressure to get the best possible product and bring in profit.
The way I see it, it`s a monetary based economy that hasn`t got a future.
Alright, now it`s off topic.
