Just keep in mind that when everyone does this everyone gets screwed whether it be companies not having money to improve their infrastructure or uploaders getting screwed out of funds that they need to reinvest in software. Not to mention contributors getting screwed out of coupons that I give out when people donate them. That's besides the fact that there are plenty of fast free mirrors on tons of posts. All things considered I don't think it's a big deal to just pay for an account so I think I'll just continue doing that and support the people that support me.

 

I agree with Catalyst, $90 per year for Uploaded premium is nothing when a single basic Massive patch library costs $15-20.

AZ is kinda a socialist society (with regards to Karl Marxs' purest definition), take out from the system what you need, give to the system what you can.

I may not be the top releaser, but what helps me get software for everyone is by people getting uploaded premiums. Thats the reason i was able to buy a number of things i contributed is with uploaded account premium purchases.

I agree waiting for downloads and captchas and throttled speeds SUCK, but thats why i do Zevera. I bought three years worth and used a double coupon. It was like $100 a year or so ago but it will last me a while. And i get premium speeds with many of the common hosts. But personally i love uploaded. Ease of uploads, notice of downed links, ease of removal, upload and download speeds, rewards program (for downloads and bought premiums). I really disliked rapidgator, hence if you noticed i make my second links Mega now. Mega offers no rewards program so far as i can see, but uploads/downloads are easy and organizing them too.

But in the end, think of this:

You buy a premium that helps someone like me get software from some, like Sound Dust, who then makes money and can keep bringing us all great products. No premium means i dont get SD stuff, which losses SD money. But i guess thats small scale, but any business helps everyone.

 

Some of the contributors were actually recently discussing releases that are needed and some stuff would have to be bought because it hasn't been supplied. Some of the applications on the list cost a few times more than what a premium account would cost for a year and that's in one shot for one thing. Not to mention a premium for a year would come with a 3 month coupon that could be donated and I would likely throw a contest for it which would be good for the forums and the winner. Of course not everyone can swing that because some people are legitimately poor and for them many kind members have been providing Mega and Zippy links. I think many people can afford to get that Uploaded premium or a multi-hoster which is even cheaper and support the ecosystem. It's really not that much money and it does make a difference just like buying even a cheap library can make the difference for a developer to stay open for business.

 

It's the very least that many of us can do to give back just a fraction of what is so generously handed to us, and is so often taken for granted.

I could always see that warez would have to grow up one day into some kind of enterprise, in which we, the downloaders paid something. And in fact, I think that in time that will happen. We could even come up with business models whereby we end up paying just a few £/$/E for products, instead of their current prices, if only the record corporates, Hollywood and devs would put their greed to one side and listen. One day..

 

Completely agree with Catalyst, releases especially sample and packs packs don't come out of nowhere, they are bought by releasers with money mainly from host refering. We support them by buying premium.

This is more oriented to guys that are having hard times and can't afford to buy premium. Having had my broke times i can relate to them too so when it can help, i gotta share it too.

 

Hello dim_triad, but if nobody bought premium accounts there would be no audioz or any other forum where one can audition the sheer quantity of fantastic offerings that we all have come to know and love. There would be a spiralling downward of content until in a cloud of dust and debris the whole thing would in a cataclysmic state be pulverized as it met the unforgiving ground and be no more. Let us be thankful and thoughtful to and of those who put the effort into supplying us with the tools of our devotion, and never forget that it a circle, yes a circle of respect towards those who sometimes work like burly oxen to pull us along this sometimes uphill and rocky road of devotion, that our art might be realized as to please our mind's inner eye. It is a give and take my friend, and I believe that to give is the greater of the two.

It`the exact opposite: never a waste of money to buy a premium.
I`m not into mainstream/edm music, the "goodies" I appreciate are often "bought" and do not bring many "click`s" for the uploader.
Veeeery, eeextreeemly big shout out for Organic at this point, you`ve no idea how happy I become whilst using SC The Attic! You bring the fancy stuff, man!

What I don`t get is that "money discussions" start mostly if it`s about warez. How about discussing this "the monetary system is a general fraud" thing in a "grown up" manner?

The Generator doesn`t work with larger files, btw.

(most) artists don't get paid for their music, so they cannot pay for the software, so instead the warez community buys software with funds generated from premium links, cracks it and shares it to all those poor penniless artists, so by buying premium accounts you are actually supporting not only the community but in extention also the software developers and even the artists!

Don't be a cheap bastard! Show support somewhere in this circle.

 

i don't have much to say here, but i will still say some thing,

by buying premium we are just helping the uploader & giving him support so that he may continue to upload the same in future.

e.g. I was using rg but now none of the premium pay options work in my country... ( paysafe will not process either...)
