I hope this is a topic that's ok on audiosex.
Whilst going through my daily proxy-scraping routine I wondered wether here is someone who could point me to a halfway reliable proxy source.
I'm not going to use them for spamming or criminal activities.
If someone could help me out here, it would be highly appreciated!

The lists you can retrieve via google are what I'm currently agonizing over... so had something different in mind.

 

you should be able to also do a search on each proxy, in case you are worried about retention of info etc, bad proxies will certainly have info about them online

 

I'm sorry, I'm puzzled right now. I'm not sure if we understand each other correctly.
I harvest proxies from publicly known sites. Then, I check wether they are working. The number of good ones I get from that process varies. Today, it was about 100 out of 22000.
I was looking for a source where I can get a better quota of working to non-working proxies.
These sources are usually not public or gratuitously accessible.
So I wondered if someone around here is willing to share his source with me.

What's there that can be googled is not what I need.

I thought about mentioning this option in my first posting. Then I reckoned using that old noodle and figuring that out would require no help from my side

 

A slight departure from the main of this topic, I read a PC magazine a while back which had info about using alternative proxies to speed up your web sutfing experience.
I've since toseed that mag away and woul like to know what proxies they suggested were ?

 

protip: half of these free proxies are flawed (at best), hacked, logged, the rest are honeypots. I wouldn't use them.

protip: cheap vps start at 3$ here. they have a 99.9 sla , root access and 100MB ip.

protip: it's pretty easy to crawl the internet searching for open proxies, that's why they get so crowded.

protip: these open proxies are usually harvested and used for bad things. using them could get you in trouble. (cf.1)

Dalmation : yes and it works pretty well, you just run the proxy locally on your computer it cache content much more efficiently than your browser. (you could also set it to block connection to facebook and such during some period of time to boost your productivity)

 

You put it in question yourself and I don`t think it`s ok, there is places to ask for that kind of stuff.
PMS is saying it in a very gentle and helpful way, seems like it`s just a game for you. What would you offer for these kind of URL(s)?
You can rent a server with `root` and OS of choice for small money, I don`t get what it is you want to "achieve".
Not in any relation to your nick, but it`s like asking for "free pussy to fuck" promising to treat hear very neat.

@PMS: thanks for your protips, I was thinking about the honeypot problem as well. But then again, I don't need them for criminal activities. Unluckily, a vpn would be of no use for me.
