hi,

now ive got logic up and running....i need to install Trilian and Omnipshere....can anyone give me the correct sequence for installing them ?

IE which updates are needed and which order ?? are all updates needed or can some be missed ?

also is there an easy way of running a keygen in Mac o/s ?

Such a traumatic period of my life.

First attempts at installing Omisphere and Trilian.

Brother, I wish you ALL the luck in the world with getting both dream machines installed as soon as is possible. I think it is now MUCH easier than it was 4 or so years ago.

I am now off to cry and tremble a little at the memories of the huge downloads and maze of installation woes....

 

Since I'm PC based I really can't offer the best advice but I did recently reinstall both Omnisphere and Trilian twice. My procedure was: install main install, then install only the latest update. I think it carries all previous updates in it, then run patch/keygen. After that install any libraries you may have. Generally the NFO has the procedure covered. Also, it would be a good idea to see if you have the latest updates before you continue. Some libraries, such as Bob Moog's Tribute Library won't run on Omnisphere older than V1.4 (I think. Apologies if that's wrong)

 

Is there not a video showing how to install in the package.

 

1) You can install either one first. The order that you install Trilian or Omnipshere doesn't matter.

2) You only need to install the latest update for each one. All the fixes etc are rolled into the latest update for each.

3) I use Parrallels Desktop (it costs, but with a little looking you can find it around) with Windows XP virtualized for running keygens. You could also use VirtualBox 4.3.18 (x86 virtualization software) which is free but you'll still need a copy of Windows for running the keygens. There are also other alternatives for running .exe files on a Mac like CrossOver (I think you can run keygens directly I'm not 100% on that one) and VMware Fusion (you'll need a copy of Windows). Check out MacUpdate.com for better descriptions for those apps and like I said a little looking around will solve your needs.

I was able to install both on my Mac a couple years back with no problems.

install them to their default locations, the steam folder is the main one where all the samples / presets are stored

latest update is the only one required, it has the previous updates included

keygen, you will have to get that running on a windows platform

omnisphere is 32bit only

trilian is 32/64 bit

 

Haha! Shows you how much I know about Mac... Had no idea you couldn't run keygens on Apple

 

most keygens are written for windows, so when using them with OSX software you need to run a windows virtual machine, XP is probably the easiest to set up

 

I just use wine to run keygens, works pretty well.. If you use the search function installing omnisphere has been answered already in another thread.

SirSilly nope youre wrong Omnisphere does work on 32 and 64 bit

windows 64bit you need to run omnisphere using jbridger, omnispehere is 32bit only

I didn't say it would not work

(air release) is 32bit only you need jbridger for it to work with 64bit

 

ahhhh was not aware that we talk about an AIR release
the word Keygen should had my attention

maybe severn has purchased the official retail, in which case I am wrong

 

64bit for mac, this is the mac section

 

pretty sure the AiR release although for mac and windows, is only 32bit

 

I have it installed on both my mac and my pc and had absolutely no problems at all
