i want FL STUDIO 12 why is it taking so long.... Any idea on the release date?

 

My guess is IL has a hard time getting the 64bit version stable, I`m not using FL Studio and like you I would need to "google" it.
But some of their plugs are without match not to say "extraordinary", lol ... Harmor is one of those ... "damn, I want a i7 core" synth`s, just love it.

 

FL Studio is a very nice DAW i love...but it is a programming nightmare ;)
It was done in Delphi...

And being Win API centric, the only solution IL found was to encapsulate Win code inside a wrapper for Mac.
And they probably done the same thing with Win 32 code to make it Win x64. They can't compile their code on Delphi x64...it doesn't exist.

That's what happen when you make an amazing app with the wrong language : the app continue, but language stop. And so, you need to find workarounds again and again at every stage.

After that, some ppl wonder why Bitwig is coded in Java

PS : same trouble with another amazing software : Sensomusic Usine. Delphi again... But they still found a solution and provide a Mac version now

and i heard before this that they're working on a native version of FL Studio!

now it is all making seance :

Image-Line is not only working on an visual-update only, they are working on a complete rework for their Software, Reworked Mixer, Reworked Audio engine, and reworked interface to match the new technologies,

They are working on Bringing Fl Studio To the mac side, but this needs a lot of work, so they basically have to do it step by step, and step one is by bringing the Plugins to Mac, they already made a Mac/Windows Host called Mini-Host, you can load plugins to it and stuff like that, this means that they can now make some Mac applications!

Image line is under a lot of pressure right now, updating Fl, Developing the mac side of their existing plugins and hell a lot more, that needs a lot of time!

Don't forget, Image line don't ask for money in exchange of Update, it is good for costumers, ( in a way ) and bad for the company!

So i wish them luck!
