MRecorder is a free audio recorder utility in VST/AU/AAX plugin formats for Windows and Mac, released by MeldaProduction as a part of their freeware bundle.

The plugin is capable recording the audio on the input anywhere in your DAW application’s signal chain. What this means is that you can (for example) bounce the different parts of your project in order to reduce the strain on your computer’s CPU (if your DAW doesn’t have track freeze functionality), or record a live performance as you tweak the parameters of different effects and instruments.

This type of tool would be particularly useful if you’re working on a dub style mix, where you don’t necessarily want to rely on MIDI automation to capture parameter movement and prefer recording a live performance directly to a WAV file. The tool can also be used for sound design, if you’re experimenting with different effect setups and don’t wan’t to miss capturing any cool sounds which happen by accident as you’re experimenting.

MRecorder can record the audio signal to a WAV file and you can choose the bit depth setting on the plugin’s interface. Other controls include the file path and file name, record button and the pause button while you’re recording.

The plugin can be downloaded as a part of the MFreeEffectsBundle which features a large number of other high quality freeware plugins by MeldaProduction. It’s one of the finest freeware bundles around, so definitely check it out if you haven’t done so already. Their freeware parametric EQ is absolutely great, as well as their spectrum analyzer and the limiter which is another personal favorite of mine. All of these plugins are included in the freeware bundle installer, however you can choose which ones you’d like to install during the installation process.

Good I was just looking for something like that. Just like in the old time, I had a Revox slowly recording everything in the studio the whole day long. (I know that sound very old)

I went to get it but problem is that it comes with a big pack of plugins and there's only 1 installer. I don't want to install all the other plugins...

 

I use edison in fl studio for recording directly from vst synths.

 

basically, all the installer does is decompress the files into your vst directory. you can delete all the ones you don't want.
