I see your point, and circle is especially friendly for synthesis newbies. If you're used to the kind of matrices you mentioned it may really be counter intuitive.
It's more like a modular synth where you plug output x to input y. There is no Matrix, you're right, you just drag what you want and drop it where you want it, and the color coding makes it very reproducible. No matrices where you select source and destination via drop down menus in text.
You select the different waveforms not only by name, you have a visual preview of the waveform. This makes it really intuitive for me, since I can roughly guess how a waveform sounds like when I see it(her?).

    So to recap:
    modular synth-like, color coded routing
many ways to modulate (even a step sequencer, which is great if you want to create some s&h-like filter motions)
    visual preview of everything

-> intuitive, easy to comprehend and reproducible

ok, enough advertising for now :)

oh I agree with your assessment on it, that's why I was so excited when I saw it at NAMM, there wasn't a lot like it (it was like the days of the Arturia Modular being all the rave (which i actually like), and some other nameless soft synths being all the rage... I thought they were early on the scene with routing in an obvious way, precursor to massive i believe, and easy to follow your path... I didn't mean to dog it that much, sorry if it came off that way, I just never gelled with the sound of it, but that is all subjective, and who knows what I was working on at the time, so like I said, I will revisit it.. because I do remember being excited about the ideas presented and it seemed refreshing, and they were one of the first soft synths that thankfully had a flatter guy design that didn't try and do crap shading and make it try and look like something it wasn't. It was clear, laid out etc... so again, didn't mean to dog on her, and will reacquaint myself soon to see if I was just in a bad mood or the interface didn't couple with the sonics for me... but i appreciate your points on it, and that's what this stuff is supposed to be about right?

    best!

I agree, and when it comes to sound I fear you're right, although I don't yet allow myself that opinion...
On the other hand I haven't used it in a single production up to now but have often tried to fit it in - so you must be right ;)

i'm rarely right, so don't take my word on it!:)... I just remember trying and trying with it a few years ago and like you said, never made it to production, but tastes change, and I think they had a good idea, perhaps the concept and gui were ahead of their sonics...

People who use cracked software because they have no money are one thing. But the worst are those people who use cracks because they rather want to buy their overpriced sneakers, phones or other useless wannabe junk to show how cool they are.

I would have NO idea of some of the stuff out there.

    Really? cmon... one word... KVR.

I couldn't start that thread, I dont think the mods would like it much, plus, it would only show who bought, not who didn't.

ASIDE from that, I know how to spell, I choose to shorten words as they relate to my current pain level in my hands and wrists, anything else is a typo.

@One Reason. Your right, and I was rude, pm'd you, but here is public apology for being a douche, especially to someone who is suffering pain.

But feel free to send the m&m's my way :)… Frack, 400mgs of morphine? quite a tolerance ! That would keep me out until next tuesday…. So now living on medicated scotch…. so it goes right?

    Who is 'everybody'?

Anyway, put Serum on a track, loaded a pad, CPU went through the roof, put Zebra in, way less CPU AND sounded better, put Serum back on the shelf until I get a new machine...

oh man, don't even talk about tolerance.it's awful. i remember 4 or 5 years ago, i would take 1/20 of that, and that would totally blow my head, for at least 6-10 hours. but our damn body quickly adapts and tolerates everything, more and more each time.

    damn drugs.
    damn pain.

good luck with your knee.

I find that crazy because vicodin is like tylenol to me, I can't even feel them.

Remember that without tolerance we would be much more likely to overdose, it's actually a protective mechanism though I know it doesn't feel like it. Sorry you guys are in bad pain. If there's anything I can do to make you more comfortable here please let me know.

    Hi McCookie & sisyphus,
I guess you tried every kind of treatment/medication already? In some cases THC can be helpful to deal with morphin tolerance ...
... shure, you know that! I just feel sorry, in my country people with chronical pain are not treated well. Often they have to test countless interventions untill they get morphin based substances or the opposite, getting hard stuff right away even there would be less addictive solutions. Wish you all the best guys.

I wanted to refer to several replies here, but (fortunately) I changed my mind.

Over 3 n`half views in less than 48 h. About a plugin ... about the "Scene" ... nobody of us is belonging to ... :(
Topics with serious need of discussion don`t reach that after weeks. There is this saying that "loss is required to esteem a thing fully", I think it`s not true!

What`s annoying me most is the western arrogance this disscussion has been led by. Seems as if we are very selfsatisfied & selfrightous pricks having a wank.

Warfare became digital, complete morons put all there effort in "controlling the internet" and we have nothing better to do than to
take our freedom as given, act out our lack of self esteem. Change gets accelerated day by day, what if our beloved place has to escape into the "Deep Web"? You wouldn`t mind?
I`m not calling for activism, it`s an invitation to think in a wider context...
Maybe our community will have a different meaning and use ... from one day to another? Suddenly the "little" network we build is of "analog" importance? Whatever will be in the future, for our own sake & sanity it`s time to face our inflatable & artificial egos.
It`s one thing to believe in being an autonomous thinking person or being it for real.
    Have a healthy & peaceful day/night everybody.
