so running ableton live 9 32 bit on PC....
if i scan for plugins, or even if hold alt + scan for plugins (complete scan) , i still cant locate the .dll.... im absolutely 110% certain its in my VST folder with all the others. where is my .dll?
in the browser window it clearly shows it in my VST folder but within ableton its nowhere to be seen!
i just purchased a legit version of ableton today with a legit version of spire since the cracked versions of either were not doing me any good. i made sure to totally remove both cracked programs before doing my clean legit installation....
    whats going on here?!!? :wow:
anybody experiencing this problem with spire or other vst's and might know what to do? :dunno: :guitarhero:

has spire failed loading?, is it on abletons blacklist? are you running windows 64bit but have installed spire 32bit? or vice versa?

if u use 32 bit AL should use the 32 bit Spire, so download the proper x86 version, and install that one (or should use the 64bit version of AL), AFAIK there is no bit-brige in AL (u can use jBridge althought)

My GF always says "have you tried a file search on your hdd?" when I ask her about certain plugins. That shuts me up pretty quickly, and I find the dll-file.

even it were the 32 bit version, it should still locate the .dll.... not saying it wuld work , but the issue is that i simply cant locate the .dll within ableton. its as if it doesnt exist, when im clearly looking at it with my other vst .dll's in the explorer window.... :dunno:

    so frustrating!!!!

just got it to work!!! finally located the .dll !!! :dancing:
after months of successfully using one VST folder i moved all my .dll's to a new secondary VST folder and when i scanned the new folder it picked up on spire with all my other .dlls.

Thanks guys for your input! :break:

Do a deep scan as follows:
    - turn of "Use VST plugins Folder"
    - Rescan.
This is a really thorough way of scanning your drives.

Ill definitely keep it in mind, though the issue now isnt really about locating the .dll as much as it is having them work in live without error.

I tried reinstalling spire and wiping it , and did it again when i got the x86 version.... still having weird issues.

Now this "The VST is not compatible with live" error ive been getting is only fixed by switching the VST .dll folder entirely to a new folder when scanning for plugins, and scanning still almost always freezes ableton... once i finally do the scan the plugs are still buggy and acting up. just had massive crash today as well!

i feel like i have some bugs embedded into my computer from the cracked buggy software of certain plugins or ableton that carried over to the new version. could that be? cuz even when i uninstalled the cracked version and installed the new one, my default template set was still there.... so i think some data was obviously carried over, some of which are these same bugs that ive been experiencing for a while. its either that or i just have a corrupt PC and its time for a new one.... :dunno:

    any advice anyobody?!? :grooves:
