Hi, this instrument is superbly realised.

Can anyone tell me if you can play the legato samples but in poly mode? Because it sounds better in legato mode but you cant play bass notes as well.

Obviously this is realistic, but can you go in the kontakt settings and switch to poly, while blakus is in Legato mode?

Hi hyp3rsaw , I've tried to get poly mode together with legato and I couldn't find a solution. But maybe it's just me.
By the way, if your thinking of buying this instrument be aware that there is an annoying G#2 into several samples,at intermediate dynamic it seems to be everywhere...
I wonder if this is a way to watermark the instrument. Hope not, this would be stupid.

Could it be the bow noise which is more prominent in the attack?

 

I'm not sure, the noise has a very specific tuning so, I doubt it could be the bow. If you listen to it, you'll find that its more like part of the instrument resonating. Can't be a string obviously (not at G#2) but it seems that something is vibrating together with the attacks. Could it be another instrument near of the mic??

 

I doubt that since there was only Blakus playing.
The only other thing that I hear is the string realease and the reverb...
Have you tried rendering the same file with a different cello?
