    Hey guys,

So, I'm currently using a vst instrument that doesn't respond to my keyboard's pitch bend wheel...It's ok; It's an Organ like vst (VB3) and Organs don't really come with pitch wheels.

The things is, I have some ideas, and to execute them I need a pitch wheel plugin to load after VB3, so I can automate it.

Any suggestions? I'm looking for something simple, pretty much a virtual pitch wheel, in win/64-bit format.

Before you ask; Yes, I did try to find something like that using Google, but I just found 32-bit plugins...I could load them within JBridge, but then I would face the same problem because you can't automate stuff inside JBridge.

    Anyway, thanks in advance,

    Raf.

Draw it in from your DAW's midi editor you can also assign any controller to pitchbend in realtime.

So... i didn't understand quite well what you mean by a "pitchwheel plugin" but let me guess. Do you want just to simulate and also automate the behaviour of a native pitchwheel action through a dedicated plugin? Any pitchshifter plugin can do that. There's even a plug called "Pitchwheel" by Quickquack(which is also 64bit), which you can automate it to behave just like a pitchwheel on the instrument track you loaded it.
If you meant something else, please let me know.

Yea, but i guess the VSTI he's using doesn't have pitchbend capability. I faced this problem with "Accordions" by Best Service (Kontakt library). When i was touching the pitchwheel on the keyboard, nothing happened to the sound so i guess this is actually his problem with his actual virtual instrument.

    Hey brother,

Thanks for your suggestion, but it doesn't work.

In this specific case, this vst instrument (VB3) doesn't offer any possibility of automating pitch controlling parameters...I don't blame the programmers, though. It's a Hammond emulation, after all, and Hammonds don't have pitch wheels...Pretty much the same reason as most serious Piano plugins don't have a pitch bend option to automate as well.

So, how could I automate something that doesn't exist?

This is why I've been searching for a pitch wheel plugin to place right after it in the effects chain, so I could bend the sound output itself, not the MIDI input.

Anyway, this is a very specific scenario, indeed.

    Exactly! :)

Thanks brother, I'll give it a try. I was looking for something simpler though...Just a simple pitch wheel emulator. There must be something like this out there... :)

you can try Waves Soundshifter if you want to do it in real time. Otherwise like someone said, use your daw pitch automation. You can bounce the instrument into audio and mangle from there.

I can only second QuikQuak Pitchwheel since VB3 doesn't support MIDI pitch wheel, and it is a rather simple plugin, especially version 3 if you can find it [but it's not x64]. But V4 employs a better pitch-shifting algorithm.

I also think it doesn't get much simpler than that. In terms of sound quality you could Zplane's Elastique Pitch plugin. It has a really decent algorithm. But because of that it's a bit pricy...
Here's the link to the developer: https://www.zplane.de/products/elastique-pitch
    Cheers! :dancing:

    Hi again guys,

    Well, the search is finished.

Indeed, QuickQuak's Pitchwheel does exactly what I want and with class. ;)

Very trippy plugin. I'll surely find other uses for it; No doubt about that.

    Thanks again for your help.
