That's the problem. I have a vocal sample and I need to get it sound a little bit metallic, not (heavy) metal nor robotic.
Suggestions?

 

Bitcrusher 24bit via send maybe even feeding into phaser with maximum or higher given allpass filters without lfo-movement,that should give metallic kind of sound and texture,at least in my head,did not tried on vocals,but know for other things.put eq in first chain order so you can only feed back specific range and that specific range could also sound better after going into rest of chain,than whole signal range,experiment.

 

Also amphex from Waves and BBe from Nomad.
The bitchusher or the fabulous distortion like Saturn, saturator V2, the audiothing valve,sausage fattener, permut etc... always with an auxiliary channer
I prefer cut the unwanted His with a deesser

 

...or you could maybe, if you have a microphone, record a hit on a piece of sheet metal (there is the metal thing) and use it as an impulse response and send the voice sample through it and maybe that would be cool. I am going to try that one myself. Good luck.

Comb filter (very short to short delay, with lots of feedback). Maybe some ring-modulation.
Etc.

 

iZotope Nectar gives you alot of options on working with Vocals.
It also has many Presets you can use.
