Won a synth in a contest but know very little about each and there are very few videos on them :wow: So which is best you think out of this list
JRR Shop : 1 plugin choice of either UVI: Mello, or Digital Synsations; Sonivox: Pulse, Vocalizer, Wobble or Twist

I'd take Vocalizer Pro, but it's a vocoder thing, dunno if you need such a tool???
Digital Synsations is a pack of 90's synths - could be good for oldskool productions!
Mello is a great vintage piano thang
the rest is not interesting at all

I would go for the Synsations, but its really is down to you, what genre of music are you into?

and well done on winning

Thanks, I appreciate it SirSillySausage *yes*

I make goa trance or other edm styles of electronic music. Dab into psybient every now and then too.
I'm really not sure what to get out of these. the vocoder looks interesting and is a synth hybrid of sorts but the videos sound like nothing new *no* so thinking about a synth instead.

really to choose something from them. dunno what i would choose.

think i would go with "Digital Synsations" too. do you need a dongle for UVI stuff? :dunno:

    Congrats!
You probably have enough Instruments... ? Vocoder would be my choice.
UVI has some interesting stuff, but iLok? No way!

Being into Trance and Futurepop, i would say to not rule out Twist 2 too fast

Otherwise i would probably go for Digital Synsations or Vocaliser Pro if you're into vocoder type sounds.

UVIs do not require a dongle anymore. You can choose to authorize your computer instead. (up to 3 distinct computers in fact !)

I would pick UVI Mello since that has multiple "instruments".

I'm not too fond of Sonivox stuff since I'm not too fond of their authorization procedure imo

UVI have now included a non-iLok way to authorize apparently.

I wouldn't go with vocalizer, since there's this free vocoder which I have used http://rekkerd.org/dtblkfx/ (It takes some getting used to but is very flexible, no PDC, and needs a synth SC)

UVI don't need ilok dongle now.

I would go for Digital Synths too

Thanks for all the replies, right now I'm leaning toward digital synsations and the vocoder. The Digital synsations is 24 gigs :wow: surely there should be some nice sounds in there :dunno: In any case, thinking I might just grab one or the other and try to sell it. How does 50 bucks sound for one or the other? Any takers?

okay, turns out sonivox isn't for resale so I'd have to go with digital synsations. I'd be fine with the vocalizer pro. Any one have it can tell me how the sounds that come with it sound?

50 bucks sounds great! Maybe post your offer in the Buy/Sell section, again. For the Vocalizer I`d be in, sad that Sonivox is so "uptight".
