I am having difficult time manage this...all i want to do is route my three operator synths into Span, but they´re all in instrument rack so I don´t know is this possible.It really confuses me
any advices?

Or you can add for each instance of Operator in your rack, Span . Just drag and drop Span after each Operator and you'll have their own visualizer, to have more precise visual for each synth. ( see attached 1)


But as said above, just put Span After your rack and its done ( see attached 2)

SPAN and all Voxengo plugins support 8 mono inputs or 4 stereo inputs and outputs, and 8 different colours for those inputs and outputs. You just have to adjust its internal routing, which is a little bit unusual, but once you get it it's easy. Then you save your preset within SPAN so you'll be able to recall it easily. But I think Live is more of a problem because you have to be able to send those inputs from somewhere and not just to first stereo pair. In Reaper that's a piece of cake. It might be the same in Live but I wouldn't know.

I sometimes use his Marvel and Overtone GEQs that way to process multiple tracks through one plugin. Interestingly SPAN not so much as I usually just slap it on the master channel for frequency check-ups.

On Osx, use vst for 8 input 'cause in AU it don't let 8 inputs.

 

this tutorial apply for audio tracks and midi but not if you have several midi in a instrument rack

 

This is the purpose of a Rack, to have multiple instruments or effect with a L/R outputs that's all.
unrack your 3 operators, then create 3 midi tracks where you could put inside of each the desire instrument with their according midi file .
Group these 3 midi tracks and route it in the Analysis Span set up as shown in the vid.
There are no other solutions until an update one of these days …


Or if you really need the routing of your rack 'cause of fx added inside etc…  Then duplicate it twice to have it 3 times.
then put after each rack an Eq Three:

First one for LOW, so just Low band is activated
second for MID so just mid activated
and three, HIGHT only activated
you can easily choose the crosspoint in low/mid and mid/high
then on Analysis set up, root your inputs accordingly .
