Hello!

I downloaded a multi track from cambridge and when I took a first listen I noticed that there was no Kick Drum!. Instead there is a track called "Kick_Trigger" which I can only hear like a tapping pen on a table where the kick should be.

This is the first time I'm in this situation and don't know how to replace or layer the sound with a library kick.

I'm mixing on Cubase 5

The "pen" is actually the kick, mic'd with a contact/piezo mic.

use Drumagog or similar. There is also ApulSoft ApTrigga2 (audio2midi, so you can use any sampler of choice).

what is the best app/method to host drum samples ??... so I can create a custom drum track with the sounds I want... instead of the stock sounds/grooves in ezd?

I am checking out poise, geist etc... and still trying to set up multi out for ezd... not coming together simply

I'm at the point of just using sfz and hosting a sample on each track... but I'm sure there's a better way

 

NI Kontakt (multi-sampled drum libraries or just individual samples). Or you can use any sampler you want and build your own. The possibilities are endless (which kinda makes it hard to choose).
Then there is possible phase issues on top of that.

Hey thanks, these are very handy tools, also diggin some I found a free one called KT Drum trigger, it delays a little but it does the job. I found a video too
