The Tina Guo library offers an exquisitely unique and progressive take on the Acoustic and Electric Cello, as well as the traditional Chinese instrument, the Erhu. Encapsulating Tina’s ultra-expressive and experimental performance style within a sample library is an undertaking that was accomplished through blurring the lines between music and sound design- a vital element of her music. The Tina Guo library does not require you to purchase any additional sample playback software, and is licensed to work with the Native Instrument’s free Kontakt Player. All you need is a sequencer like Logic, Cubase, Digital Performer, LIVE, Protools, or Cakewalk, and you’ll be up and running.

The Phrase Builder: A system for constructing melodic ideas using fragments of Tina’s performances in a variety of playing styles
Drone Designer: Create variable sonic beds by manipulating intensity and navigating through long samples of unfolding cello drones using the Mod wheel
Built-in Granular Synth FX: Explore harmonically rich and complex sound design spread across the stereo field with left-right grainer functionality
Repeated Note Round Robin Staccatos (RNRRS): A new function that automatically switches to a separate RR sample set upon repeating a short note, resulting in a far more natural cello sound and feel.

That announcing tells me I might not need this library at all

 

After a brief letter and introduction from Anne1987, I don't feel like buying anything from Cinesamples anymore. *no*

 

Phrases... I'll pass...

 

I'd buy the girl instead of library.
I know it sounds inappropriate , but is she for sale?

 

Is she a Diva or poser? I have to investigate ...

 

I've hired Tina before, she's very talented, kind of a go-to in the Hans Zimmer camp. Def not a poser.

 

And i will investigate even deeper...

 

I like to hear phrases... Never use any but I learn a lot, mostly delete all but I like to keep some e develop something different
Maybe because its do rare to listen music today, so instead i listen libs
I like beaty/strange womans, they are inspiring

 

I'm disappointed that this library doesn't include legato patches, tremolo, vibrato, etc.
They had a chance to work with one of the most frequently featured soundtrack cellists in the world, yet they forget to sample cello in a proper way.
This library is worse than LASS' first chair cello.


Do you sample phrases in 2014? really? it seems like the phrases are sampled in old 90's AKAI sampler fashion.
They really need to wake up and forget about phrase libraries.

I thought they will make something that can beat LASS first chair library and support their CORE Cine Strings library.

 

After the disappointment that CineStrings brought me, I'm not really interested in Cinesamples products anymore. I mean, even some of the previous libraries weren't exactly immaculate, but CS just put the frosting on the cake.

I got the Tina Guo legato lib and that doesn't sound bad . it's pretty expressive although a couple notes do have some tuniing issues.
