VIER emulates four units of the Doepfer MS-404, a famous German monophonic analogue synthesizer from the nineties. Even today the MS-404 has a large fan base and is not only known to insiders. Since the original MS-404 was monophonic, being able to play four units polyphonic at the same time, VIER fulfills a childhood dream for many musicians. The software uses up-to-date technologies for its synthesis engine like anti-aliasing oscillators which are capable of audio range modulation and zero delay feedback filters best known from synthesizers like LuSH, Monark or Diva.

    PARAMETER LINKING & VOICE MANAGEMENT
VIER offers a wide range of options for parameter linking and cross modulation. All parameters may freely be grouped and linked with each other. An intelligent voice management dynamically assigns pressed keys and played notes to the different units. Both features enable sound opportunities that go far beyond the plain emulation of a vintage synthesizer or just the sum of four parts.

The parameter linking allows building groups which can be manipulated and modulated by macro parameters together. This offers a fast access to the most important sound properties and allows operating the four units as one monolithic piece. The intelligent voice management offers different creative play modes which especially allow an automatic assignment of each note in a chord to the four different units. Each of the units themselves can of course be operated with unlimited polyphony.

    PRESET CONTROL AND FAVORITES
VIER contains a broad variety of factory presets that may be loaded, adjusted and saved or marked as favorites. Furthermore, the user may create, save and load own presets.

VIER runs stand-alone on Windows and Mac OS X or as plugin via VST, AU, RTAS and AAX.
VIER is available for purchase now. The regular price will be 99€ / $99. A limited introductory offer is available for 69€ / $69 all September long.

A trial version is ready for download here.

GOSH! How could they forget such important things for an Audio product? *no* :grooves: *no*
Maybe they did not want to spend extra-cash with hiring a person to prepare the audio files?

someone could give it a try? bcz we can't bless it anyway. why should we, its not worth it after trying.

    such bad presets
i always tried to defend eisenberg, but that is really a bad plugin you made there. plus the overdo on the protection? some presets lock the sound output.

Well, after playing with it for about 45 minutes I can say it's not that bad.

Ok, the presets are rubbish, but who use the factory presets in his own tracks anyway?

This is an emulation of an old synth, the MS404, which was itself an emulation of the TB303. I had one of the MS404 for a couple of years and I can say the VCO sound almost the same (with the clean tone pulse).

And it has added abilities, like the parameter linking which is quite nice.

I think this synth is only for the people that loved the Doepfer MS404 and would like to have his digital emulation. Nothing more. Obviously there are far better synths out there, but as i said, if you like that kind of harsh, white noise, tone pulse sounds, is not that bad.

    Here's the original MS404:

And here's a nice example of the sounds the MS404 can do. Absolutely analog and brilliant:

anyone whos into the matter - a real knob tweaker, your opinion please as theres absolutely no info on the soft on the interwebs and i cannot install it on snow leo :snuffy: when it sounds like the 404 and doesnt cost too much cycles it actually should be way better than the first piece of crap they produced. i really like the 404 hardware sound

they could make more such bassline stuff and also add a squencer to it, im that way hmm, never heard such bad factory presets (i mean the synth is 99€ and for intro on 69€), they could have asked some sound design to create some unique factory presets, possibly offering a free NFR license for the job.

1 - Their EINKLANG sucks big time.
    Like hamburg-audio Nuklear.
    A joke.
So i would not expect anything special from them.

2 - And moreover, i'm totally bored by "emulations".
    Especially of an average synth.
I was a kind of emulation whore years ago (Arturia,XILS...)
But now, i'm totally bored by those "already heard for 30 years" sounds.
Even if i still like ORIGINAL tracks made in those days.

3 - For that "limited introductory" price, you can get ACE full price. And it will kick it in the butt...twice

I wouldn't worry so much for the factory presets, as this synth is really easy to get into it. It's not that it has 2 or 3 different screens with complicated modulation capabilities and tons of effects. What you see is what you get.

And about the sequencer, well, the original didn't have it, and neither this one. I don't see why this would have it. And you can use the DAW built in.
Other great VSTi's don't have sequencer and they are great like ReDominator or Circle.

Sure. No Doubt about it. It sucks big time. But I still remember some of the first Synapse Audio stuff Really SUCKED big time and now they produce decent stuff.

That's your personal opinion but I'm sure this synth has his market segment, because I know LOTS of people crazy and willing for emulations, good or bad.

Disclaimer: I'm in any way affiliated to eisenberg nor I get any discount for this

But I would like to give an opportunity to new synths before entering into Rant mode.

Couldn`t have said it better. It has character and harshness, without having a faible for emulations: I like it!
After Einklang... Quite an improvement  But the price... I would rather buy ACE or Bazille.
Thank you for your opinion and the additional videos.
