Does anyone know if Jdownloader can be used with torrent links? as in entering a link to download stuff?

I guess you're talking about torrent magnet links. Unfortunately, JDownloader can't download torrents.

Not directly. jdownloader isn't a torrent client. I've been using Dasan's jdownloader plugin instead. it lets me add magnet links, downloads the torrent on the server first, and then jdownloader automatically downloads the finished files to my PC.

I recommend qbittorrent instead, don’t really do much of that because I only used it a couple times but it might be better and is available for windows and Mac

 

Don't they own the majority of private trackers nowadays? Most of their web GUIs update at about the same time. You can usually find the same asshole staff members on each site.

I almost forgot about their IPTV services.

 

on windows use biglybt, on mac use transmission (which is great on mac but terrible on windows)

 

Bittorrent Inc. is now known as Rainberry (maybe there was other reorgs, I don't know), and that's kind of like saying that phpBB Inc. owns majority of forums these days. Most use some combination of opentracker/UNIT3D I think, which kind of explains the synchronized updates.

 

That's what I did until a while ago. Incredible piece of software. But it's starting to show its age.
QBittorrent can be way faster. Frequently maxes out my 1Gbps internet. A sight to behold

 

I'm a simple man who doesn't need many configurable options. The few times I need to torrent or use segments to download at reasonable speeds, I open a console and feed the link to aria2-next / aria2.

No, you cannot download torrent with JDownloader2.

Use qBittorrent with Jackett (you have to install Jackett and configure it, and then, into qBittorrent).
