Saxophonist known for playing on The Pink Panther Theme, dies aged 94

The native of Donaldsonville, Louisiana, who recorded with Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, BB King and more, died July 15 aged 94 in Los Angeles according to a report from the L.A. Jazz radio station KKJZ.

Man, what a tone he had, and such great feel... So long brother, rest in groove, and thanks for the music.

Yes he did have great tone. He was a big influence on my picking up the Sax. I wanted to play Tenor but the only thing available to me was Trumpet, when a Sax did become available it was Alto & I didn't want that.
