Yo here are two tracks ive made over the last few months im working on more music but ive got a lot of projects stuck in or left unfinished they arent exactly hard theyre minimal with very few elements but maybe someone will find them worth a listen i had actually made a hard techno version of the first track before but while djing on my pc recently i stumbled upon a folder labeled techno 2020 full of slower bpm tracks i thought i try something in that vein i started fresh the next morning and i think i put this track together in half a day to a full day the second track is at 150 bpm also minimal though i think it might be a bit too fast for that style feel free to comment good or bad no matter what i need the feedback plz!

    Track1 it's a bit long:)

    Track2

One thing im wondering about i was recently browsing through my folder of downloaded samples and came across a loopmasters pack i was listening to the percussion loops it’s amazing how they utilize the stereo image with their percussion i didnt use any loops for my own tracks just one shots and some processing but my percussion sounds so flat compared to theirs does anyone have tips on how to get my percussion to sound that wide in the stereo field?

Track1 --> Well done @MindCtrlDel, it comes across really well...!
Track 2 --> fits right into public traffic with that horn, but it’s a very demanding, stressful song! It’s got substance, though!

i try out different styles but i suck at melodies sometimes it just doesnt work out i have several tracks that are almost finished but not quite there yet usually the arrangement isnt interesting enough or i try to cram too many elements into the track whereas using fewer elements would actually let everything shine

mastering is another thing i can get my tracks reasonably loud but the issue is that even with just a limiter on the master and nothing else my lufs are already lower than the recommended levels for youtube or soundcloud when i upload to soundcloud if i turn the volume all the way up it sounds like some compressor kicks in a really weird pumping crappy sound even though it sounds reasonably okay on my system and phone i usually master between -9 and -6.5 or -7 lufs depending on the track but soundcloud targets around -11 lufs i guess i have no clue what to do just turn my mastered song down until --11 that would be a bummer

The best thing is a .WAV file for downloading!!!

As you know, number-one hits are the exception and a rarity. A really good song is the result of either luck or hard work. The band Deine Lakaien spends two years in the studio and two years on tour—just to give you an idea of the scale involved in creating ten songs.

Just between us: you’re making real progress.

P.S.: If you mix down to .FLAC with -1 dB of headroom, you’re on the safe side without having to worry about those LUFS values!

You’ll have to get used to the fact that a lack of feedback doesn’t necessarily reflect the quality of the product.
To put it plainly—whether in German or Dutch—don’t take it personally; don’t get annoyed, just find it curious.

Thanks for sharing a bit of background on how you did it!
