As the title says, I am willing to purchase a legit license only if I can run cracked plugins. I am aware that one can run cracked plugins that use keygens and or patchers. However, I had a trial license for Pro Tools studio and was unable to get Fabfilter plugins running (not the latest R2R system wide but the keygen version) but I could run Waves reliably.

Now I wonder if I apply the patch from Pro Tools 2021 for the AUX crack and make it work, and if it doesn't I would understand because it is one is from 2021 and another is from 2026! The only plugin that I really want is the Avid Revibe and Reverb One, but alas R2R 2021 version does not have it.

 

generally speaking, no you cannot. You answered it yourself, plugins with a legit keygen can, but thats about it.

 

If someone wants to run the plugins that are available from Avid Complete bundle and others, one can install them and the Pro Tools 2021 R2R runs them with no issue. I did it and I can run all of the "premium" plugins from Avid. Hope this helps!

 

You can run quite a few k'd plugins via BlueCat Audio's Patchwork. Plugins where the AAX is not modified but is just a wrapper for one of the other formats like VST3 or AU may also work. A "true RSA keygen" from R2R is your best bet, as already stated above.

I have not seen anyone do it, but when you ask about a standalone version, I think you mean Portable, like a version from VKDanilov maybe. There are not really "portable" versions of Kontakt for Mac. You would either have to get someone to tell you which version might actually work, or at least read the nfo files of any available releases and see if they contain modified AAX version of the plugin, which you will only be able to use in k'd Protools anyway. This is why some people still use ancient versions of Protools.

The way people get around Protools validating plugins as legit/not modified is usually to use Patchwork. Maybe DDMF Metaplugin would be worth trying out as an alternative. Patchwork from R2R is a true keygen, which means it can be loaded as an unmodified AAX wrapper plugin. Patchwork Synth version loads synth plugins and accepts incoming midi messages. There is also a standalone version of it and you could could try loading a pattern sequencer or other Midi app as a MFX in front of Kontakt. (if it will load it).

Without getting too far into your routing possibilities, a standalone copy of Patchwork or Kontakt could be run completely external to PT, and then the audio routed into one of it's audio input channels and recorded in realtime. That is not a very fun workaround, but it is a pretty common workflow anyway, using something like Voicemeter Bannana, Virtual Audio Cable, etc.

If your "production DAW" is Cubase, exchanging files back and forth is another option for a workflow. It is a bit better for it than other DAW's, but you can make it work.

Thanks for the response! I'm on windows, and I'm using a legit version of Pro Tools. I have the bobdule version of the cracked Kontakt (standalone) before I even patched it, well patched it incorrectly, it did show up in pro tools but it was in demo mode.. I feel like there's gotta be a way.
