Want to set up the Usynth bundle from last fall but I have space only for two of three choices and was wondering if there was a best choice in case I don’t need to set it up and can leave it how it was originally?

Currently have Alchemy and Current with all the packs, would it be a good idea to trade Current for Usynth if that one specifically uses more resources? Or does Alchemy/Usynth use just as much as well?

And if I click “delete pack” in Current’s preset browser, will it actually delete the files associated such as samples and I can just delete packs I don’t need to reduce the size of the overall library? I might not install every Usynth library but I might have to since it’s been a while since I’ve used it last and I’d need to get refreshed on some packs, I just know there’s a few I will leave since they’re ones I remember using a lot

 

You couldn't pick two more different synths to choose from. The question for me would be, which of them do I have more overlap from something else? Current's disk space footprint is larger, and I have other modern synths like it (Serum2, Phaseplant, Alchemy in Logic, etc), so Current would go, for me.

 

Keep Current and Alchemy—they offer the ultimate in sound quality and variety! In Current 2, go to "PACKS," then right-click on "DELETE PACK"! Make sure to empty your desktop Recycle Bin afterwards!

 

Ok, thanks, I’ll just stick with the two already available… will have to go through the packs to find if there’s any worth keeping
