I'm don't use FL so I can't comment on the other stuff but if I wanted an "AI assistant" (I don't, but for the sake of argument) I'd imagine this is the way: just something to help with grunt work and automate dull manual tasks like creating channels and setting routings or helping with scripting. It doesn't mention actually creating audio/music with AI which defeats the point of using a DAW in the first place.

I'm indifferent as to cloud features but the Ableton one works like a charm and I've found myself using it quite a bit though I can live without it.

Honestly this update should’ve come two weeks ago but it’s kinda neat, will have to try the chord tool and the updated reverb

Wild guess: Gopher only works online

    There're nice additions though

Edited: I just watched a brief vid about the AI and it looks pretty decent. Can automate some tasks which is, like @Will Kweks said, something useful

Not that of a wild guess I guess ...
Almost all AI functions are online only in almost all software packages. Besides it may be not possible to implement some functions locally it's agood way to detect k'd software.
Running AI locally is really demanding when it comes to Graphis Card's VRAM. < 12 GB VRAM would make no sense I've read. When you like your computer as fanless as possible, and that is what I do like, your'e out.:guru:

Probably not going to use the gopher much if at all, it’s better off manually or with external plugins to help but there might be a couple uses for the ai in terms of automated mixing/mastering lightly before/after the mastering plugins

You know it was sarcasm but that's right. Needless to say, I'm out too. With my powerhouse of a NVidia 1060 6GB second hand I think I fall short just by an ass hair

But! I can run the latest Rockstar game: Read Dead Redemption 2 . Hell yeah, I'm the man :disco:

i used years ago FL Studio but i migrated to cubase daw i think cubase 8 and were using up to cubase 13 but then i moved further to Studio One and it gives best results basically. also very fast workflow that is saving time.. not sure about if i will use the fender studio 8 because 7 already brings everything necesary.. not sure about Logic pro i tried it on a mac but that reminded of ejay dance or like that.

Of course. Sarcasm is my middle name :mates:
I run quite the same beast (GTX1650 /w a whopping 4GB of RAM) so I will only need two further of that type in my box to meet the minimum for AI locally.
But even the they are fanless. No fans at all. Like so many of us. That makes them endearingly down-to-earth

But fun aside. The barriers to using AI locally are so high and so extremely expensive that it’s hardly worth the effort. And that makes it just as crappy as cloud-based AI. Right now, none of this is really ready for the market yet.
I wonder if companies are really doing themselves any favors by using this bananasoftware. This only serves to heighten reservations about using AI, whether locally or from the cloud.

Running a small LLM (which I assume gopher is) locally isnt too demanding relatively speaking. My RTX 3050 4GB Laptop Card is pretty mid-tier but can run relatively capable models in real time.

That said, while I love FL and it is my go-to DAW, I don't think any of these improvements are too special. I would have appreciated more actual music creation tools. They have great stock plugins but a few of them feel like they are in a beta state. An improved drumaxx or physical modelling stuff like pianoteq or swam would really make FL stand out. Or adding more functionalities to Patcher. Or fancy things like spring reverbs, a wavetable synth, resonators and so on.
