Peeplink with dangerous scripts

    The clipboard monitor in Jdownloader with Real-debrid and others is so nice. Not only does it skip the hosting page and find the download link, but also bypasses captcha.

    I'm not sure of the firewall the Windows users use for this; but on Mac if you are using Little Snitch, you can add blocklist subscriptions which contain as many of the common ad servers as the list contains. LS network monitor blocks the connection request. I asked GPT for a Windows equivalent and it suggested Portmaster, but maybe someone knows a better option. A good adblocker is better, this is just another layer instead of yet another ad blocker.

    uBlock Origin is supposed to be the most resource-efficient ad blocker!

    Would you recommend he disable Brave's built-in blockers and allow uBlock to do the job?

    I just skimmed over the OP's previous comments.

    You're already using Brave Browser and its built-in blockers.

    Blocking scripts is the ultimate protection, but it's also the best way to break webpage functionality.

    You don't need more tools. You have everything you need within the browser and its tools.

    Peeplinks are continually laced with third-party pop-up links. That's just how it is. It's clearly a money thing.

    Do your best to protect yourself from the bullshit.

    You have the tools.

    Well at the time I suffered the same xxx pop ups with peeplink and I already had the built in Brave Shields and uBlock Origin and both did not stop the pop-ups until I installed the extension AdGuard AdBlocker [this was the one that stopped them for me]. Having them all running does not affect my browsing speed at all

    Yes just strange pops ups from peeplink but it stopped them all so assuming AdGuard is still the best to put a stop to that kind of behaviour but no harm in having them all enabled for me

    I'm not surprised that AdGuard does the job.

    I use AdGuard for Windows. It's legit.

    honestly i hate ads and can only recommend everyone to block them on a deepest level (with portmaster) and also train your brain to ignore it in real life.
