How does it work? Is it worth of using occasionally with audio apps? Can I install apps from AZ on it? I am a pc user but in need to open Logic projects.

 

iCloud it is called. No you cannot install software on iCloud and run on a Mac. It's not a virtual computer, only meant for storage and syncing.

If you want to import Logic projects to a PC DAW, you could use AAF or OMF.
Logic users can export their session in one of these formats, which can be imported on your PC. With a few caveats:
no MIDI, no plugins or software instruments, but with a little luck you'll see the Logic timeline with audioclips on your PC DAW.

 

If you're a PC user and you've the need to occasionally use Logic (open projects or use one of those builtins) then the easiest option is to get an used M1 iPad and use Logic on that (yeah, it's subscription but still cheap at 5 euros a month). If you need more than that then get an used M1 Mac Mini and go wild.

If you're referring to one of those cloud providers that have Mac instances then I suppose those would work but they're very expensive and you can forget about using any real time audio.

I'm with Will, used base M1 Mini should be around 200 bucks and it's more then enough to open projects, export stems, MIDI, presets and etc. Here you are paying 100 bucks for 1 month to access base M4 Mini, on long run you are better off just getting that M4 second hand too.

Another alternative could be running virtual machine with macOS, something like Parallels, VM, UTM and etc, that should work too if you goal is only to transfer projects.

 

Ah, that really is a virtual Mac in the cloud, didn't know it existed. Also don't know if it's any good, and if it can run Logic, cause you'd need a beefy virtual system. And for 'sister site stuff': don't know how Logic is 'modified'.. I doubt you can run keygens on a managed virtual system like theirs.

 

You’ve got me interested in buying a Mac Mini indeed . I assume you were recommending that cheapest yet high-performance option. Are there any minimum specs I should look out for? Are there any catches, like upgrading the system, or no wireless keyboard?

a cloud mac is a paid service which gives you VNC access to a mac computer.

depending on the plan you bought you can install anything you want there.
