Looks like at least some former Native Instruments brands will be spun off, with iZotope going to Boris FX.

    From their FAQ:

What does this mean for my products, licenses, and subscriptions?
All iZotope products, licenses, and subscriptions remain fully active, with uninterrupted support.

    Who is Boris FX?
Boris FX is the Academy Award- and Emmy Award-winning software company behind Sapphire, Continuum, Mocha Pro, and a growing portfolio of professional audio and visual creative tools trusted by creators worldwide.

What does this mean for iZotope's roadmap?
There are no interruptions to plugin development. The talented engineers behind RX, Ozone, Neutron, Nectar, and the rest of the iZotope lineup are hard at work. This move provides the resources and focus needed to supercharge our roadmap of next-generation plugins.

What does this mean for my account and login?
No action is needed: iZotope products remain accessible through current channels, including our downloads page, and Product Portal. We will communicate any future changes well in advance, and will be working hard to make any future changes as smooth as possible so you can focus on creating, not logging in.

If you have further questions, please visit our iZotope support page.

Boris FX certainly fixed a lot of things in Sequoia\Samplitude - that REALLY needed fixing. Unfortunately projects with Boris' Sequoia are not compatible with MAGIX versions, which can be a pain. Do any iZotope products need fixing? I don't know since I don't use them. I DO use Exponential Audio reverbs (that went to iZotope) and nothing there needs fixing at all. So one hopes Boris doesn't ignore the famous saying: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I was doing search about this matter and trying to understand what happened to NI, Brainworx and PA. Then I found out that after Dirk Ulrich move out from them, he actually bought Manley Lab and Apogee last year. wtf. damn plugin business is so lucrative you will grow and buy an actual hardware company if you're lucky with it. :woot:

    Welcome iZotope
iZotope, the team behind RX and Ozone, is joining Boris FX. A letter from founder Boris Yamnitsky on what it means for the tools you rely on.

    July 2, 2026

    Hi Boris FX community,

I'm thrilled to share that iZotope, one of the most respected names in professional audio and the company behind RX and Ozone, is joining Boris FX.

If you work in post-production, there's a good chance iZotope is already part of your daily toolset. RX is the industry-standard repair tool editors and audio engineers reach for when deadlines loom, and the dialogue isn't quite ready. But RX is just the beginning. iZotope builds intelligent tools across all of audio production, including Ozone for mastering and a full suite for mixing, vocal processing, and metering. Bringing iZotope into Boris FX means the tools you use to finish a project — both picture and sound — are now built under the same roof by people who sweat every frequency and every pixel.

    [IMG]iZotope RX

That's what makes this so exciting to me. For thirty years, Boris FX has built tools such as Continuum, Sapphire, and Mocha Pro for professionals who can't afford to compromise. Both companies share the same commitment to craft and a refusal to compromise. Our paths even crossed at the 2019 Engineering Emmy Awards, where iZotope was honored for RX and Boris FX was recognized for Sapphire, Mocha Pro, and Silhouette.

I want to be clear about what this means for the Boris FX Suite of tools you rely on: our commitment to Sapphire, Continuum, Mocha Pro, Silhouette, SynthEyes, and the rest remains unchanged. We are not pivoting away from VFX or video editing. We’re expanding our mission into the other half of post-production. A stronger, bigger Boris FX means more investment in everything we make.

iZotope is known for its smart and practical use of AI. Combined with Boris FX's deep expertise in AI-driven audio and video tools, we're positioned to move faster, innovate further, and create even more powerful tools for creative professionals.

You've seen us do this before. Over the past decade, we've welcomed Imagineer, GenArts, Silhouette, and others into the family. Each time, those tools didn't just keep going; they got better. iZotope is the next chapter in our story, and certainly one of the most significant.

My vision has always been a Boris FX where everything you see and everything you hear is handled by tools built to the same uncompromising standard. With iZotope, we're closer to that than we've ever been.

Thank you for thirty years of trust. The best is still ahead.

I've been using Boris Sequoia for a few months now, and am very happy so far, though a few more musicians tools would be welcome.

Not so keen on corporate musical chairs, but I guess this means that Izotope will come bundled with Sequoia. Which has to be good for me, no? Maybe less so for other users? NI didn't have its own DAW to promote after all.

Is it time for a Boris Sequoia users sub-forum here..? A:

not really, just cosmetic edit for Samplitude/Sequoia (just like Cubase/Nuendo)
but it seems nobody uses it (the forum, not questioning daw itself)

always a good idea to run away from the NI desaster.

do it like brian, bitwig, ohmforce, and you can be saved.

Now imagine how fucked up the venture/vulture capitalist money are. After the sale, Dirk was offered and he accepted to be business/direction consultant, to make them mid and long term profits (as he clearly proved with PA that it's possible). Then he quit in a year or two, because they pissed on all his recommendations. Soon after, he made the purchases you talk about.

Nowdays, if investors don't make money "yesterday", they burn it all. It's insane how much direct damage these people can do, and the frustrating part is that they can enter, takeover and crush absolutely any field, because its their hobby.

the whole economy was also very hard in the last 2-3 years in general. And always remember audio gear and specially software is extra expense for hobbyists and also for pro audio people.
