Been goin back and forth with developer at Schaack since I've loaded his latest Transient Shaper Mac beta, which has been crashing my Ableton projects... he wants a crash report... is it safe?...

and you know what I mean by "is it safe." *yes*

If Schaak Transient Shaper is legit, it should be safe.
Sending crash logs that you can find in Console.app, there souldn't be registration info in that.
Another thing is the ableton encrypted crash logs, but those are for Ableton support only...

I would not send crash logs / reports, or request for support, for software that is not legit *no*
Because you never know what info is embedded in the report to identify registration, or when you correspond with the developer support, they can match your email address with rego.

On mac crash logs are quite readable, you can understand almost everything inside if you are a bit expert.
And, no need to send the whole log, just the part with threads crashed and crash reason, you can strip evrything else...
Obviously the schaak plugs have to be legit *yes*

To be really sure, just send Schaak the address on which the thing crashed and registers content at address + threadlist,
    stripping everything else out.

All Ableton crash logs contain your systemspecs, installed programs and plugins too. So if its all legit you can do. But i would be cautious.

yes... my mistake.. I figured that the fact that I have access to the Shaack Transient Shaper Mac beta was enough for everyone to know that I legit own it... The keygen's don't work with it, and no one has posted the latest version of Transient Shaper... furthermore, thats why I asked, since I'm legit w/ Transient Shaper, there's a chance that I'm safe, which, as Copylefter pointed out, there is a way that I can be... and I definitely trust his thoughts... not that anyone else can't be, but, I know Copy.

I recieved links to latest versions from Schaack so... The gui can now be resized, although its still buggy, and Vst version always crashes Ableton... and so I want to help Schaack cuz dude deserves it.

anyways, ableton is "another story." I know Copylefter "knows what's up" though... I'll PM you with details and we go from there

Ableton crash logs can reveal something about some dirty secrets...

But Shaak devs don't care at all about that, they just want some feedback about how their program react in the real world.
They won't tell on you or whatever.
The worst that could happen on their side would be more like : this guy's computer is a pile a nasty, messy warez, we can't use his feedbacks as a regular use case.
I think they have much better things to do than telling on you to their software making opponents.

If you're not ready to give infos and complete bug report , WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN A BETA PROGRAM ?
