I've been running Omnisphere v2.0.3d for a couple of years (R2R release). It was a 55GB download, including the Steam library. I notice that there is a v3 on the sister site, but it's only a 50MB download. Does this mean that there will be no patches/samples included?
Is there an upgrade available which includes the full patch/sample library?

This topic has already been covered after the initial release of V3 and recently. Using the search function properly will reveal loads of info. The official documentation also covers upgrading, saving custom presets and the like.

If you have seen any messages about missing anything, everything is fine. Whatever the size of the Core Library, you apply updates as they come for the plugin, patches & soundsources which usually much smaller.

If you an uncluttered install of V3, I would follow the official upgrade guide on the official Omnisphere documentation.
    • Backup/Save custom presets & patches
    • Do a clean install of V3 & apply any updates
    • run standalone & activate
    • reinstall/import any third party libraries
    • import/ copy custom patches again via guide
The current V3 Core Library with updates & the Bob Moog Library with update applied is 59GB. All of the V2 stuff is there in V3 with the exception of the Bob Moog Library. It's in Separate categories. Under 'Directories' you will see the new structure. Explore. Select a sub-directory or 'View All'. Then select something from the 'Category' drop down list.

    OK thanks.
I suspect that I may be trying the wrong version. I downloaded "Spectrasonics Omnisphere v3.0.2c Incl Patched and Keygen-R2R" and ran the installer but when I ran the standalone app I got this error:
"Cannot find Omnisphere DLL at: C:/ProgramData/Spectrasonics/plug-ins/64bit/Omni„.Reinstalling Omnisphere may resolve this issue."
I've checked the (Win11) AV history and it hasn't quarantined anything. Should I be using a different release?

    You need this:

    Spectrasonics Omnisphere v3.0.2c FIXED

    KEYGEN ONLY-R2R
    Team R2R | 28 Mar 2026 | 0.7MB

Spectrasonics Omnisphere v3.0.2c Incl Patched and Keygen-R2R
    Team R2R | 28 Mar 2026 | 50.4MB

Spectrasonics Omnisphere 3 STEAM Core Library
    AudioZ | 02 November 2025 | 56.7 GB

Spectrasonics forces you to use version 3; you simply have to overwrite the STEAM or Omnisphere folder. In my opinion, you can't keep the old version.

Using both versions in parallel? That's not possible and isn't supported. The installer overwrites the old version to avoid conflicts (e.g., with VST/AU plugins). If you absolutely need to keep the old version (e.g., for compatibility testing), you could back it up manually and uninstall it, but this is risky and unnecessary.

Spectrasonics Omnisphere v3 Core Library [STEAM] 57,6 GB

The "STEAM" subfolder "Omnsiphere" looks like this:
    Defaults 3.89 MB
    Documentation 37.6 KB
    Settings Library 2.55 GB
    Omnisphere 56.7 GB
    Soundsources 51.6 GB
    Wavetables 2.51 GB
These numbers aren't 100% accurate because I also have my own sound banks installed.

    C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\STEAM\Omnisphere = 59 GB
