So it's free, so what. Is the stuff even worth the bandwidth to download? Who uses 32 bit synths anymore :dunno:

Back in the days, those were never cr***ed, and IMO they have good sound, very raw and analoguish, low CPU, someone may still want to give them a try.

Reduced Instruction Set Computing. Set your Microprocessor Architecture accordingly!

Actually, these are SynthEdit for the most part as far as I can see, but they are the best of SynthEdit!

I do. So do lots of others. I run a dozen DAWs and half of them I have going in 32bit if a 32bit version exists, or I use an older version if possible. Like Plogue Bidule for example on one end for its modular architecture or Studio One 3 for something more modern. I even run older versions of Cubase 32bit alongside the latest versions. It's handy to have 32bit synths to run in them without bridging. But then again, DAWs like REAPER and FLStudio will auto-bridge them for you. So does Bitwig. Mixcraft Pro...

Yeah the sound of these synths is really excellent. This is one company that everyone slept on I think because the GUI's are a bit less than ideal in some parts. They do amazing swooshy filtery pads, great leads, superb basses and really ethereal spooky soundtrack stuff too. Plus there is a great preset system with a load of presets in each synth I've tried so far.

I can highly recommend Bruno. It's basic and very quick. You can find an older version on the sister site and that is even simpler in structure, but it's nice to have the latest version. Then there is Simple Sampler. You will find this in the 'Live' folder when you extract the contents of the archive. In fact that's actually a 64bit synth VST3! Then there is the star of the show for me - Vintage. I've been using the demo of this and it works ok but just annoyingly loses signal every now and again, so it's really great to have this. I thought I'd actually bought it but for some reason I never got around to it and forgot about it. Now I got it for free and so do you too. I've donated to the developer and plan to donate a bit more as I get to know more of the synths.

I can't say enough good things about how great these synths sound. The filters are top notch for their time, and the presets are varied and also top quality, plus there's a lot of them! I have every synth I desire from Zebra 3 to Serum 2 to Halion 7, to Minimal to everything by GForce just about, and many many more. I can stand up and say that these synths easily have a place in your toolbox even if you have all that stuff yourself. The quality of the sounds and presets and the variety on offer is nothing short of stunning, and well, for free, I think you'd be a bit silly to not at least check a few of them out. I like to use these for those reasons: there's always an interesting preset somewhere that grabs your attention and can be easily tweaked and the GUI sizes should be big enough for most people.

I only donated a small amount this time, but I plan to donate what the synths cost when they were on sale and you could actually buy them because they are worth that to me. I'm just going to take some time and go through the ones I actually want to keep. I wonder if there are some more 64bit VST3 plugins in there somewhere.

Btw, when you unpack the archive and the various folders, most of them seem to have a standalone that runs in SaviHost so you can quickly try them out to see if they are worth installing, without all the fuss of going through the process.

This is very generous of the developer and he definitely deserves a few Euros chucked his way (above 5 Euros he says otherwise he gets charged). I think if anyone could even afford 10 Euros, they would be very pleased to have a fully legit bundle of top rate plugins for very little money and hopefully it does encourage the developer to come back with some more 64bit versions.

Try Bruno, Vintage and Simple Sampler (in the 'Live' folder) to start off with - that should give you an idea of the quality on offer here. If nothing else try Simple Sampler in 64bit format. As I said, you can run it in SaviHost without installing it if you just want to check out the sounds. The interfaces actually aren't that bad and I really like them because usually there is a streamlined and cut down version for the most important parameters, and I'm happy to use that. There's one hell of a lot of work and man hours that went in to creating these over the years. I'm glad to see others finally getting a chance to appreciate them, and for the developer to get a little pocket change if nothing else. But really, you will see, these synths are worth so much more than that when you hear how great they sound and fit in a mix...

Here's my chance at VOCODER-II. EDIT it works.

I made you a video and got super pissed compressing it to 4 different sizes (I mb seems to be the limit here now) then being told the extension was illegal (mp4).

    O Happy Dai

file size limit and formats should possibly be pinned. Maybe they are. Maybe I am the weak link. If so sorry.

+1 for sound quality on all Tubeohm.
