Via the Tor network the site works normally, but I don't want to use TOR, wtf is happening

Edit: I live in Poland, there has never been censorship here, I don't know what's going on, I feel like I'm back in the 80s and communism.

FWIW, I just tested it now and it works this way for me (Spain):

1. using the free Cloudfare VPN-like tool (Cloudfare One Client, former WARP)
2. using the mode "Traffic/DNS over HTPPS" or "Traffic/DNS over TLS"
I don't know why, but the bastard defaulted to "Traffic/DNS over UDP". Doesn't work for rutracker

Edited: nah, it was a mirage, stopped working 15 min later. Just a coincidence

 

Here in Italy it works with the org domain. I'm using Cloudflare as DNS servers.

 

It has difficulties (long time waiting to respond), but in Serbia working... this way works for several weeks...

 

I thought this exact same thing, but it doesn't explain how it becomes up and down results you will get opening the site with no vpn from a country you might suspect has blocked it. Or you use a VPN that is located in your same country. Once something like that goes into effect, no-one just changes their mind multiple times per week.

You may have to use a VPN for the time being. Unfortunately even with one, there still is a bit of instability with the site.

 

many russian websites will sooner or later be no longer reachable from outside.

we see already the absurd situation that you need to use VPNs to connect from EU to some russian domains - after it was the other way round for a while.

rutracker is probably one of the things which survives the longest, but things like the russian free language model (which is really good) already successfully lock foreigners out.

What is good about rutracker, what do you use it for?

 

There are a number of good things about that particular tracker. The first one is the rule about no compressed archive files, which means you can select any portion of the files included in the torrent. This makes it great if you want to grab the presets included with some giant sample pack you don't want, as an example. When it works, it is relatively fast users typically, because most stuff is seeded decently enough. Another good thing about it is that you can use Duckduckgo.com to search it, use your search results link and it will take you to the "forum" page for the torrent. So you can just download the magnet file without even having an account, if you wanted to do that. Just add the name of the tracker after the title of what you are looking for.

But the main thing is that there is no minimum ratio requirement like on most private trackers. On this same note, if you download something, you should set your upload kbs to something pretty low, or cap the torrent in your client; it is a strange thing, but even when you only have 1 old file open, all of a sudden lots of people download it and when you return to your computer you have uploaded a lot of gbs otherwise.

It has a bunch of different categories of content like you would expect on a mainstream sort of tracker, but it also has a decent enough selection of audio uploads.

rutracker is not Russian, all servers outside Russia. it is not even dot ru. Actually to access rutracker from Russia have to use VPN because it blocked for 5-6 years already.

 

.org and .net working.

* Opera => USA, Europe or Asia.

* Chrome => 'FreeVPN' extension => USA ( 4 locations ), Canada, UK, Belgium, Moldova or Japan.

* Chrome => with 'Proton VPN' free version extension : 10 servers available.
