if I had enough space I'd be filling it with gym equipment and maybe expanding my kitchen. I'm a bit of a weirdo in that regard, I don't like having a bunch of music gear, I always piss off the other guitarist in my band asking him 'but, man, why do you keep more than one guitar??'

I use the Les Paul for lead guitar, embellishments, and occasional power chord riffs, while my Telecaster does most of the rhythm work. I've also got a Fender Precision bass that holds it all together, so my current setup is quite traditional. In saying that, I wouldn't mind something with P90's, or a nice Jaguar/Jazzmaster guitar.

One example : for recording, when doubling rhythm tracks, using two different guitars equals less clashing of frequencies vice doubling the track with the same guitar. Same thing with mics regarding lead and bgv vocals :)

I had a Dean From Hell i really liked that was a 24.75" Beyond that the 25.5" fender scale has always felt the most comfortable especially for playing higher on the neck.

I find myself using my guitars with a double locking bridge most if not all of the time for lead work.

Well he's a youtuber, maybe thought it was a good idea for a video and it is, but for him as musician?

It would be very funny if he regrets it and makes a part 3:
"how I regretted selling my synths and rebought then. Now I've lost a round-trip total of 600k dollars and my wife left me"

    600K? That's what, a medium sized Eurorack?

We're mostly playing live, but it makes sense, even tho I never had issues overdubbing the same guitar. I'm sure there are arguments to be made, none of them are convincing enough for me, at least not enough to make me reach towards my wallet.

I always use different guitars as well as different hardware recording paths when laying down tracks.

This. Of course there are go-to instruments for me, but in general go with the flow
Although there are no arguments about the wallet thing, there are still examples why people use different guitars.

    - Logistics. Since I have more than one guitar, I can leave on of the instruments permanently in the rehearsal room, another at home, another in the studio room. Less thinking, more fun. On the other hand, well, having a few guitars can create the need for more logistic thinking, too. So maybe this isn't the best argument, I have to admit.
    - Inspiration. I wouldn't call myself a funk guitar player at all, picking up my Stratocaster I tend to swing my wrist in 16th notes like I'm a (very) poor man's Nile Rodgers. At least from time to time. Different instruments resonate differently, at least with me.
    - Possibilities. Some things are just not possible on some instruments. Imagine playing Rockabilly Vibrato Chords without having a tremolo arm on your guitar. Imagine recording an acoustic guitar, but only having your beloved Flying V.
