Hello people!
Well, I'm involved in rescue old equipment, I have in use an old MAUDIO 2X2 M, a nice soundcard, but lacking in the loopbackfeature among other things..
As for sure all of you know, Audacity can manage, using WASAPI drivers, a loopback function so you can record the sound of Youtube for example, even your soundcard ( like this one) can't.
I want to know if someone knows..how is this possible? a free software discovered a way to use a function and the others not? isn't a way to use this feature in other software like Maschine f.e.
I saw that Maschine has a WASAPI shared driver, but tried it and nothing happened, the sound isnt coming
any help?

if yr on windows, anything from VB Audio Voicemeeter should do it. there's the virtual cable or the banana & potato editions for more streaming/advanced set up. I used to use the same interface, but now it spits out crazy distortion noise instead of music.

 

Thank you! yes, tried with Voicemeter but has an EQ that, even off, alters the audio signal and sounds worst than without it, maybe the virtual cable..still have to try that

 

just use jdownloader2 or metube to download from youtube directly, there's no reason to cripple audio by mediocre loopback

 

Of course I can do that..actually i did it,also I can use serato sample, but when Im listening to youtube just chillin' and want to sample something I like and start producing with it on the fly, is a bit frustrating to do the dl thing and put it in the DAW, isn't the same thing..if you know what I say.
