Hivetune has announced an update to its Relica subtractive synthesizer crafted to recreate the sounds of the 8-bit era.

Relica 2 features

Overview
Just a Sample is a powerful, modern audio sampler, with a focus on simplicity and ease of use. Best of all, it's free and open-source! I spent a lot of time on this project, and I think it will be a great addition to your plugin collection.

Feel free to take a look at the source code and reach out with any questions or suggestions. I took care to make the code as clean and readable as possible, with a focus on good design practices. That being said, I am still new to audio programming.

• Polyphony. It's a kick drum.
• Free-form window resizing — the editor scales 1× / 1.5× / 2× via integer multiples (egui-baseview limitation, not a design choice).

It's free and it's by Unfiltered Audio, what more do you want? It's a delay and reverb that makes no sense. Great!

Yes yes, I'm a Unfiltered Audio fanboy but this one is special. It does lack UA's normal modulation system, but mapping controls to it and playing it live is well worth it.

 

FREE??? Basically, if someone asks for my name, my email address, and forces me to install their own download software on my computer just so I can get a socalled “free version” of their software, then it’s definitely NOT free for me anymore! It's not just about the money.

 

The whole idea of this thread is to post descriptions and screenshots of adequate programs and plugins, NOT just mere links to external services!

 

Just in case you haven't noticed, many if not most of these so called 'free software' providers- be it a company or an individual- do ask you to fill in some information about you, in one form or another, in exchange for you to download their products.
And out of pure curiosity, who exactly is forcing you to install their download software on your computer?

Free Software Synth, Moodysix, Emulates Classic Korg Polysix



Overload Audio has introduced MOODYSIX for Mac & Windows, a 6-voice s0ftware synthesizer modeled on the 1981 Korg Polysix.

Like the original, it features one oscillator per voice with saw, pulse width, and PWM waveforms, a sub oscillator, the iconic SSM2044-style 4-pole lowpass filter, and the legendary chorus/phaser/ensemble effects section.

MOODYSIX also includes three classic Polysix hardware mods:

• NoisySix — Adds white and pink noise generators plus an extended MG (LFO) with triangle, saw up, saw down, square, sample & hold, and noise shapes. Variable pulse width for the square LFO.
