First, when you install something new, you should back up your data beforehand.

Second, have you checked here: C:\ProgramData\Arturia? (Hiddden Folder)

Third, make sure to run the DAW as administrator because it needs administrator
permission to write the new database file (db.db3) in the ProgramData folder.

Did you uninstall the previous version? The VR version on the sister site doesn't require an uninstall. Mine installed directly over the old version and left my presets and banks untouched.

These kinds of issues are why I have just stuck to a few individual V Collection synths and no Analog Lab. All of their various updates breaking stuff is like a software version of trying to build a skyscraper on top of a landfill. Thanks, but no thanks.

What happens is if you install the V collection it installs Analog Lab with it. However, updating Analog Lab itself or installing while the V-collection Analog Lab instance is already installed it creates a lot of problems. Apparently it overwrote the entire folder where I had it installed and it deleted all my presets and banks. I varified if because I went back and looked at the directories and it was all new. The entire User folder had been deleted to a factory install. I also checked to see if I could find the banks through using the program Everything, and nothing come up. I then checked C: drive space my and I had 100 gig freed up. So then I knew what had happened, and didn't know any way to reverse it. Since then I have uninstalled Analog Lab VR update and and V-collection and then reinstalled R2R V Collection. I had to install all the content saples and banks all over again.

So to make it short and sweet. If you have the Arturia V Collection installed DO NOT update Analog Lab seperately without first backing up your User folder with your presets and banks. Then once you do that, you can update and move the User folder back under the Preset folder and rebuild the database.

Yep and see that's the problem. If you have the V collection installed and then only update Analog Lab by itself it pretty much does a new factory install totally deleting the custom User folder under your presets.

if you update the V Collection synths individually underneath Analog Lab, it doesn't delete anything, but it becomes a headache. If you really need both, you are probably better off just installing both cleanly once, at the same time; and then leaving it alone once it's working.

It's a known fact that installing a new version of Analog Lab over an existing installation can overwrite (reset) the entire Arturia directory. Well, at least for me it is? But backing up so much GB's of data every time a new installation comes along is too much work for my taste.
So what I always do before installing the new Analog lab is first rename the existing directory to something like
c:\ProgramData\Arturia_org, then install the new Analog Lab. This will create a new c:\ProgramData\Arturia\. After the installation I will move the new Arturia into the Arturia_org directory and overwrite any existing (older) Analog Lab files. Then remove the new Arturia and rename the Arturia_org back to Arturia. This way you will not loose any data.
