finally a useful example of AI used for workflow automation

He automated all the boring parts of being a composer

Professional composer Joel Schwartz found many moments of friction in his workflow that could be optimized through coding utility scripts. Using a Python server he got REAPER talking to Google Drive, Dropbox, Frame.io and Nifty, greatly reducing the time and effort of updating the team documents while he can focus on writing music.
Even without a background in programming, Joel was able to make all this through AI and its been a massive improvement to his workflow.

AI mumbo-jumbo. Wherever a lazy human can use a machine, they do so; they keep ceding more and more power to machines. The next time the power goes out, these new "intellectual idiots"—who have, after all, surrendered the majority of their autonomy to machines—are going to look pretty foolish. Convenience breeds stupidity. Instead of dedicating his time intensively to music, he spends hours surfing the internet, burdening his brain with scripts and the like...! No thanks!

This looks like the start of what I would call the best-use case of implementing AI in any creative workflow. To use it for the more-less boring and repetitive parts of productions. Like, if you need to change a single value or setting over 100 tracks, stuff in that direction.

We're still far from getting there, I haven't seen anyone make a capable enough agent that could do stuff like that. But eventually, we'll get there.

Don't mind @PulseWave, he's too busy keeping his post count up and replying to every single thread in existence to ever fully understand something, unless he used AI to summarize it.

If im using a script to handle managing files in google drive, dropbox etc, the power going out wouldn't matter if was the one doing it, or a machine lol.

I've been using ChatGPT recently to help create templates for sequencing my gear with Ableton and Bitwig, as well as figure out why my boiler is making weird noises. I like AI, it's helpful and reassuring. Till Judgement Day, obviously.

I don't watch videos, because I don't have the time for them and I don't want to burden my brain with them. However, I did read the text and translate it into my own language. As you may have gathered from my comment, I am no fan of the new AI!

then I'm afraid you probably should avoid threads in AI section of the forum here completely, since you don't seem to bother contributing anything meaningful anyway

I have actually written a great many posts on the subject of AI here, and I even used AI myself for several months. I think you are completely infatuated with AI; however, if one happens to hold a different opinion, one is met with baseless accusations—and essentially told to just get lost!
