I hope they still do the NI summer sale. I was hoping to get a good deal on a K26 upgrade.

The K26 update is 149€ at the moment, I'm not too sure if the summer sale would be any cheaper.

Naah, i think the company itself knows that they don't actually have innovation, but they do have tons of money :D

Hi Jack—to start off, what I’d be interested to know is: are you a musician yourself?

    Jack O’Donnell:
No, I’m not a musician; I’m simply a music lover, and I started taking an interest in it for a variety of reasons. I worked for a company called Stanton Magnetics for twelve years. Our primary focus was on the consumer market. At that time, Stanton was operating in a growing market—the DJ market.

One thing I have noticed consistently with every acquisition - AVID taking ProTools and Sibelius, Reason recently, Fender taking Studio One and more....
We have to wait and see with the "NEW" next release whether they keep the principles of the product or abandon them for new ones. It is fine to say they are going to keep the tradition of the absorbed company, but it's business and a bunch of corporates around a table making financially based decisions, not functional ones.

It will be a interesting to see what they do with it. Ozone changed already with one absorption from NI...As for KONTAKT and all the other NI products... who knows?
