    After months of researching this was pretty much the conclusion that I arrived at. Better cooling overall, thicker chassis, better performance over longer periods.

    Thank you it is! Runs pretty zippy the only issues I've had are the usual CPU throttling Windows likes to do that's caused occasional jitters during playback (mostly in Rekordbox) but have been on the hunt for resources of how to disable some of that since it seems to be an issue for people

    fingers crossed for a good deal, no rush, keep an eye on sales, they seem to be rather random,
    I was really lucky to pick (new) 4TB Kingston Fury Renegade during Black Friday 2024 for roughly around 212GBP, prices basically tripled by now which is crazy :unsure:

    Yeah. It's sad that you can't get the high end models without those scammy nvidia chips.
    I take a really beefy cpu with igpu any day over those additional heaters.
    But what can you do, in the end you deactivate the nvidia chip but pay it anyway.
