Steve Maslow (* October 17, 1944 in Los Angeles, California; † April 27, 2026 in the same city) was an American sound engineer who won three Academy Awards for Best Sound and was nominated four more times.

Steve Maslow's first film work began in 1978, when he worked on the sound mix for Martin Scorsese's *The Band* and the road movie *Convoy*, and was hired as a sound engineer for *The Children of Sanchez*. Since then, he has worked as a sound engineer on more than 200 other films.

In 1979, he and Gregg Landaker were responsible for the sound mix of the first *Star Trek* film, *Star Trek: The Motion Picture*, and the following year they took on the same role for *Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back*. His collaboration with Landaker continued on numerous other films, including the 1981 Indiana Jones film *Raiders of the Lost Ark* and the 1994 thriller *Speed*. For all three films, the two sound engineers received Academy Awards for Best Sound Mixing. He was also nominated for an Academy Award in this category for three other films he worked on with Landaker: Waterworld (1996), Twister (1997), and U-571 (2001).

Most recently, Maslow worked in post-production on the remake of The Great Gatsby, directed by Baz Luhrmann, and, together with Gregg Landaker, handled the sound mixing for the horror thriller The Conjuring, which was released in Germany in August 2013.
