ALLDEBRID vs REAL-BRID ... Differences?

    Something else I considered last night:

    RapidGator, and others alike, will charge more for their services compared to a link supplier because of their infrastructure responsibilities. It also makes sense that their direct customers will be prioritised, such as no or limited downtime, over the link suppliers.

    I'm not sure if I'm 100% correct about all that, but I feel there is some logic and sense in that understanding.

    Not true. On RealDebrid RG works about 99-100% of the time-it's fairly solid. Katfile is about 50-50% availability. Have to check status page every time when DL'ing from KF (lately at least) - might be up might not be at any given time.

    [EDIT:] - KatFile on RD has gotten a bit better now. Although it still wavers it's percentage is up to about 80~90% availability now.

    RapidGator links with Alldebrid seems to be up and running normaly here finally. Scary how close I got to cancel and move on...

    Rapidgator also still not working here with AllDebrid. I moved to RealDebrid and it's working.

    Edit (After reading @fireface comment): It‘s useful to mention I use AllDebrid/RealDebrid with JDownloader 2

    It works when using the website to download, but with JDownloader it sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t. Maybe we just need to wait a few more days for it to become stable again.

    One thing of interest as well. Nitroflare - the thing that is now passing for the sisite alternate is suspiciously absent from most debrids. We know initially why is was used at sisite when katfile was having issues, but those issues have since been rectified and we're still stuck with nitroflare.... Katfile is seemingly STILL on most debrids as an alternate NOT nitroflare.

    Ya. Katfile is my go to alt to Rapidgator. Wonder why Nitro is primarily used instead.

    For clarity: Uploaders do not have to use NF if they choose not to. They can certainly use RG + KF (+ pretty much any and as many others as they want). It's entirely the uploaders decision. The rule is merely to ensure at least 2 non-premium links are available for every release (uploaders can use the minimum 2 or 20 or 200 links if they want) - but if NF is now a premium only FSS, then indeed, by all means, uploaders should stop using it!

    *And yes, I will bring this to the attention of the powers that be ;)

    Yes BUT, when its stated on sisite clearly that NF is the alternate, most suppliers abide by that and hence there are very rarely ever any suppliers using KF as the alternate.

    I know, I know this is Saint's decision not ours. But the Katfile debackle has been over a long time now, and NF goes mainly unsupported by pretty much most of the debrids where as Katfile remains... Just stating facts not policy.

    We have no way of controlling these shifts in policies and the gameplay going on with all these FSS. As we often see, some are much worse than others, but many come and go often, making it difficult to settle on one that is a reliable long-term replacement. KF had some seemingly serious shit going on, which caused massive outcry to ditch them and resulted in the change being implemented. Anyway, we're getting off topic now and I don't want to derail this thread into a rant, request, suggestion box for replacements... I'll just say, I am constantly reminding uploaders about this - if NF is playing games, don't use it! Choose something else, and ideally several of em, to give members options. Also, there is nothing stopping members from using PM to contact uploaders about it. I encourage it, let them know what you want, please do! :wink:
