I ant his thing to work i did exactly what the instructions asked for. I got all the rom files needed but when i open the plugin its a black screen any ideas how to fix this? i even made the other folder i was supposed to make

Yeah, and which plugin version? Which platform, DAW, CPU/GPU? V0.9.8 performs a self-check at every startup, which checks the following: whether it has write permissions to the temp folder and the EnsoniqSD1 folder, checks the Lua plugins, and verifies if the MAME engine failed to start for any reason, and of course checks for sd132.zip. Your full black plugin screen is something OS/antivirus related because even the JUCE framework couldn't load.

Loads fine in Cubase 15 Windows 11 here.

 

Might be his setup. I know Cubase loves to black list a lot of plugins

 

That was an early version. It's working properly in Cubase now.

 

Hi there, anyone had tested the saving of a Preset? I am failing here, I have been trying for last hour, maybe I dont get the procedure correctly, there´s not much to it as stated in the update, and is like I do on my Ensoniq VFXsd, I´m baffled.
I am on MacOS BigSur, Cubase 14, using new 9.9 vst3 version

I finally got it to work but changing presets or looking through banks seems to be impossible

One question: I notice that there are two folders created on my desktop: cfg and nvram.
I tried to delete them, but after re-using the program they are back. Obviously the program needs both directories.
Is it possible to place these directories somewhere else, for example in the VST3 directory where they probably belong?

 

This might be some kind of Linux quirk, because those files should be in the temp folder or the DAW’s temp folder (I mean, that’s where Windows and macOS put them). Maybe you don’t have write permissions there? These two folders are important, don’t delete them. Ask one of the AI models to see if they know why this is happening on your end.
