I believe that you can change that startup sound, at least you could in earlier builds.

Why don't you just buy FL Studio if you want to make youtube videos or whatever? Maybe if you're just starting out. Okay, but what is 229 for the producer version? You can always upgrade to another bundle later they often have offers, and it includes lifetime updates. I bought FL Studio back in 2007 and I still have free updates. Same story with serum lifetime updates. That's the next thing I'm going to buy.
And when you buy something, you also spend time learning the daw or vst. You can download everything from the sister site, but ultimately your computer is a total mess with 90% plugins that you never use anyway. I'm not saying I don't download anything, but if you have to install everything on offer, you're effectively not going to make music. I've had my time too. I download it, put it somewhere on my hard drive, and never look at it again.

 

In some other countries, people have nothing left to buy besides food and clothes.

 

The netherlands isn't cheap either. I don't make a single euro from music, but if I have some left over, I try to buy something.
