I have a problem with fl studio. I have a pre-master channel where I route all my channels. there I have a low and high cut eq a mid-side eq, and then a clipper to tame the peaks. after that, I route my pre-master channel to the regular master channel. the strange thing is, my pre-master channel peaks at -6 db, but my master channel goes above 0 db, even though I don't have any processing on my master channel yet, only analyzers like Izotope tonal balance, youlean, and span analyzer. so i tried routing all channels back to the master channel and copying the processing from my pre-master to my master channel, and then I don't have that problem. can someone explain this to me?

Maybe it's your input volume (from the pre master to the regular master), it's maybe not at default volume, right clic on it and clic "reset".
It could also be your clipper that have an auto gain compensation activated (or the output volume set to -6).
Or if you have something like a room or headphone correction (like VSX, Arc or Sonarworks Sound ID) on the regular master, those sometime put their volume a little lower so you don't clip because of the EQ correction they apply (that's where I put them, after my annalyser, I doing the same thing as you do with that "double master" line).

That's the only issue that come to my mind right now, but could be something else (if it's not one of these issue, maybe add some screen cap of everything in the chain to see if we missed something)

I only have fruity balance Pro Q4 with low cut, high cut, and mid-side linear phase after that standard clip on my pre-master. the pre-master channel peaks at -6dB, but as soon as I link the pre-master to the regular master channel, it peaks above 0dB. on my master channel, I don't have any processing yet, only the last 3 slots for analyzers. I also checked every channel to see if they were actually routed to the pre-channel that's not the problem either. then I routed all channels to the regular master channel and copied the processing from the pre-master to the master channel, and after that, my master channel also peaks at -6dB normally
    i have no idea why.
