i noticed them...but me no like the naked exe file tooo much..rather prefer a RarFile..so i ll patiently wait for dem to show up on sistersite. JAHBLESS

 

Hi all, can someone please explain the difference between Synchron FX Strings and Duality Strings (fx)? Thanks

 

I posted this on the sister site when Synchron FX strings was released...
"For anyone wondering, there is very little crossover between this string FX library and the Duality Strings FX library. Both include similar sections recorded in Synchron Stage A. However the approach to recording - mic numbers/positions and techniques/articulations - differ. Duality also includes the second, smaller ensemble recorded in Synchron Stage B."

I will add, Synchron FX Strings is oriented to classical orchestral textures, articulations and technique. Duality FX leans into experimental textures and soundscape FX. Combined they offer a very comprehensive palette of string textures.

That's a very general overview of the contents. For more detailed info suggest you go to the VSL website, and open two browser tabs; one for Synchron FX Strings and the other for Duality Strings FX. Go back and forth between them to compare the information.

I've done this many times with a number of VSL libraries that, on first glance, appear to be the same/similar.

i dont know for sure,but i saw the update uploads were edited{guess something was wrong with the first release}.according to user reviews i have read...but i think they will soon show up on sistersite

 

Yeah, they are still working out some kinks. Definitely better to wait and get a solid release the first round.

If developers would also think and act like that, not releasing half-baked products.

They were released last week - hence the post - but there are reports of issues. At the moment, it's unclear whether it's the Player(s) themselves, or user related. In a holding pattern for now.

 

Hey, I understand which site you're talking about, I'm a frequent user there as well, but I don't see you mentioning "that" site explicitly in this forum so far. Is there a audiosex.pro forum rule or something which does not allow the forum users to post a link/talk about "that" site?

It seems all of the pianos except one have been done. The Hamburg D-274. The full D-274 and others are there but not the Hamburg?

 

Can you provide a link on the VSL website to the piano you are refering to? Everything I see listed there has been released.

 

Update on the updated players...

Spoiler: As of 2026-03-25 - updated

Sounds like most issues were mostly user related. None sysvolume files in the library folder affecting library display in the preset list. Also NKS files in the wrong place. Housekeeping!

There was also an issue with AAX and Pro-Tools. LOL... when isn't there?
That was fixed.

That's straight from the releaser. I've also heard from a couple of brave souls here who are testing the players. Thank you for your service

Even once the issues are fully resolved, unlikely these updates will make it to the sister site.

They use charms from a certain group of witches - we give thanks and praise you! The releaser's understanding is that uploads using their charms must come directly from them via their recognized suppliers.

I've encouraged the releaser to confirm with said suppliers.

TL:DR - Most known issues have been addressed. However Synchron Player is still buggy for some. These updates are very picky on file locations, and folder content. The updates are available on another site. For now that is the only place to find them. If you know, you know - comrades

For those who don't know. If your guts and sphincter are twitching with FOMO... relax. Search "Synchron Player v1.3.2652" or "Synchron Piano Player v1.3.1542" on the sister site. They may not be the latest, but both work beautifully.

I was going to go back and edit previous posts, but I hate it when people do that. Throws off what little continuity this thread has.
