Hi, i am trying to export audio from fxpansion guru 1.6.12 to an audio track in cubase 15 pro. i have clicked on arm on guru then played a pattern from engine 1. pressed play again after a few bars to stop. the recorded audio file is created in the box between arm and d+d. when i drag it to audio track i get the error "medium type not supported or invalid medium!
    anyone any clues?
i know guru is old( im using it via jbridge) i know about geist 2.
i guess i enjoy torturing myself! hehe
    thanks

i miss guru on win 11. that thing was a lot of fun. especially the randomizer

ok so cubase was on 96 khz, i couldnt get my focusrite pro 24 to play audio at 44.1. realised i had to change it in windows audio settings.
so now focusrite is set to 44.1 cubase is at 44.1 16 bit, but same issue.
what do u mean by "convert it to whatever you usually use"?

What file formats can GURU export?
GURU can export MIDI clips (by dragging the Pattern Memory pads to your host or to Finder / Explorer), and WAV loops and one-shots via the Audio Exporter (Audio export available in v1.5 or later only)

    Confirm the WAV format
Make sure the file is a standard PCM WAV, not some exotic variant.

In an editor like Audacity or any DAW that opens it, re‑export as:
    - Format: WAV (PCM)
    - Bit depth: 16‑bit or 24‑bit (avoid very low bit‑rates or odd formats).
    - Sample rate: 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz (to match your Cubase project).

just a guess... jbridge needs admin rights, as far as i remember, and therefore guru. you can't drag anything between admin and non-admin windows. are you able to drag midi from guru into the daw?

Did you also try to drag the audio out onto your desktop instead of your DAW?

I have a good number of apps and plugins which are older, and many of them render audio files internally, which can't be dragged directly into Logic. Worth a try anyway.
